This sort of sex ed is really long overdue.
There’s a big thing going on in the UK about Sex Education due to in the increase in teenage pregnancies… There was a show this morning called The Wright Show were a woman phoned up saying her son was taught about wet dreams and the difference between a girl and a boy- I think he was in primary school (ages 5 to 11). How horrible is that?!
I didn’t have any sex education in school- I went to a Catholic one. We were told to wait for the right person get married and have babies. When we asked about condoms we were told they were forbidden. I’m in my early 20s and there are quite a few girls [who I went to school with ] who now have babies and young children.
Sex education IS important- but it should be about protection, protection protection and loving yourself before loving someone else.
