Celebs Turn Out To Stop Puppy Mills

GQ Magazine, NSF clothing and the Humane Society of America joined forces to stop puppy mills. Celebs Josh Lucas, Sara Paxton, Erin Lucas, Ben Hollingsworth, and Nico Tortorella, among others, turned out in support at the Morgan's Hotel Penthouse in NYC.
Designer of NSF Nick Freidberg also presented a line of dog collars to help create awareness of puppy mills.
Ben and Nico both brought two new puppies that they had just adopted which made them the hit of the party. Everyone was waiting in line to hold them.
Wouldn't you? They're adorable ;)
It sounds like a fun night for a worthy cause!

what is puppy mills? is it like a good place for animals?
148925 points
No, puppy mills are where they keep pure bred dogs in terrible conditions just so that they can breed. Then the breeders turn around and sell the puppies to pet shops. The breeders don't care how these animals live, whether they see sunlight or whether they are properly fed. Most of them stay in crates their entire lives. Its pretty messed up.

awfull stuff !!! they don't even get affection ? they are just there to reproduct ?? mad mad world
Is terrible, these puppies are treated in-humane, some people can be cruel to cute defenseless animals. Puppies are the only thing that melt my cold, dark ice cold heart, puppies and babies...:)

OMG i went to stop puppy mills.com and watch the video!!! why would they treat poor innocent creatures like that is beyond me ! it really is time to stop this madness . And Gisela, how about kittens? don't they make your heart melt too ? :p

Kittens make my heart melt SOOO much! I LOVE them. They are the cutest little things. Puppy mills are horrible and I think anytime someone wants a cat or dog they should get one from a humane society because there are so many who get euthanized and never get a chance at life and love with humans. Poor things!

To me, it looks like the one on the right is a Cocker Spaniel mix because of it's ears, and the one on the left looks almost like a Puggle, which is a Beagle, Pug mix. I could be completley wrong though. :) By the way, you dont want a Cocker Spaniel... they poop everywhere! My Husband runs a dog grooming business and he calls them "Crapper Spaniels!" LOL (Sorry to anyone who may have a Cocker Spaniel... :) )
I'm against puppy mills (who isn't?) but I did not recognize ANY of those celebrities until I saw the picture of Josh Lucas. And I know my celebrities!

Politicians are legislating all kinds of things, this one should be a priority though, to make puppy mills illegal.

I want to see more cute puppies! LOL (I like men... but I'm happy with mine, I can never get tired of seeing puppies! LOL) Puppy Mills are Evil! :(
we're starting to plan a 'big trip' to go in a couple of years' time, by which time we'll be 2 adults and 3 kids (aged 8, 4 and 4). we're hoping to spend about 6 months doing something really different from our usual lives (london, serious office jobs) - like environmental work in south america or something (not necessarily paid of course!).

Not all puppy mills are bad.
The puppy mill we got my Sharona from was perfectly fine. It was well-lit. The cages were clean. There were like ten puppies running around on the floor (they were so adorable!!!). The puppies all looked happy and healthy. It was a clean building. And the lady went back to give Sharona a bath before she gave her to us. And this was a puppy mill because on the advertisement it said, "so and so's Puppy Mill."
But yes, most puppy mills are bad and those need to be shut down. But people who run respectable puppy mills whose doggies are happy and healthy should not have to face the same consequences
And no one can tell us what to write about or how to express ourselves either (in an civilized world).
To the morons that couldn't figure out who the guy in the blue shirt with the cute dimples was, he's NOT AN ACTOR. He's the designer for NSF Clothing and his name is Nick Friedberg. The part that says: "Designer of NSF Nick Freidberg also presented a line of dog collars to help create awareness of puppy mills" was referng to him.
