Evan Rachel Wood Likes Androgynous Men

Wonder what Shane West has to say about all of this???

Evan Rachel Wood is attracted to androgynous men.
The actress has a crush on guys who
are not overtly masculine and wear make-up.
When asked about Adam Lambert - the outrageously dressed gay singer who was
runner-up on this year’s ‘American Idol‘ – Evan said:

"I probably couldn’t
help myself, that guyliner is so amazing.
"But he’s got an incredible voice, talent is very sexy. I love that he’s so
androgynous, he just doesn’t care, has fun and wears whatever he wants."

Evan – whose ex-boyfriend Marilyn Manson is famous for his
gender-challenging outfits – also admits she partied hard when she became an
adult because her parents were very strict with her when she was growing up.
The 21-year-old brunette star explained to FOX News:

"I wasn’t too
rebellious, I was a pretty good kid. My parents were very strict so it
wasn’t until I turned 18 that I went crazy.

"I tried so hard to fit a certain mold that certain people in my life
wanted me to be. I thought that making other people happy was enough to make
me happy, but I just wasn’t comfortable so now I follow my instinct. You
only live once."

Evan went on to explain why she is attracted to older men – Manson is 40,
while Shane is 31 – and believes it is because she is more mature than other
people her age.
She said:

"That’s just what works for me. I usually just have more in common
with them for some reason.
"I guess because I’ve just always been around older people…"

What do you think about Evan’s choices? Do you share her taste inandrogynous men?

Well she’s certainly not the only one who likes androgynous men. I can’t understand how someone can NOT adore them. Of course there are different kinds of androgyny and it can mean something else for everyone. Here’s a place with some really beautiful men.

yeah, I would have to say that any man rocking smurf blue skinny jeans could be considered androgynous

I can totally relate to her second quote. My dad was a baptist preacher and when you grow up in such a sheltered environment it’s kind of like “I’ve paid my dues, I did everything you asked… now i’m going to live on my terms”. … Anyways, I love her.

This is why paranoidly strict parents are always a bad idea.

His parents & her parents probably got together to shake their heads in unison. LOL He had a very strict religious private school upbringing, too. ;)

But i have seen her act(movie with Uma Thurman) and i like her as an actress, she wowed me.

I LOVE dita von tease so its hard for me to say anything nice about her when MM cheated on Dita with this chick, then this chick pretty much ended up looking like a imitation of dita von tease.

that’s my feeling too. sorry i love Dita too much!!!!!

  14. lara jane says:

It seems to me that she hasn’t fully matured and figured out who she is. Maybe part of that comes from having such a sheltered upbringing (like my own husband).
