Angelina Jolie Says She Feels Privileged To Be Able To Visit Iraq
The always lovely Angelina Jolie said she feels privileged to be able to visit Iraq for the third time in her life. The actress also called the trip inspirational.
"This is my third trip to Iraq, and I've just been following what's been happening, and I wanted to come back.
I visited Walter Reed and I was inspired and reminded of all the bravery of all the men and women.
I'm always just honored to spend time with everyone in the military. I was allowed to come, and I'm privileged to be here. It's been very different every time""It's a beautiful thing. I really wish a lot of people back home could see...the local people and the little kids talking about how much they appreciate the military and working with the U.N. and other agencies. Really positive human stories. I'm very glad you get to see all that change."
Angelina was joined by her son Maddox. Hopefully, he's old enough to remember the experience.

It's nice to read that she's relaying something about all the good we're doing over there. We don't hear much about Iraq anymore and in the past - when Bush was in office - it seemed to all be about how horrible the US was doing there.

Oh, grow up or shut up. I think it's great that she brought her son along. She's obviously trying to show him that not all kids are as privileged as he is. I do wonder though if it's safe environment to bring a child into, but that's a separate point...not that you'll be able to grasp any of it.

This is real brave and such a nice gesture. Regarless Of what some people think and speculate about her, the humanitarian work and efford that she puts into meeting this people and the interest she has on knowing whats going on in foreign contries is impeccable and so inspiring. I hope she keep up the excelent work and continue to show her kids the world as it is and whats really important in life which is to do good and care for one another. No matter how much money and fame one persone may have when someone wants to do good and care for others it shows no matter what people say. Like that naive and pathetic lalaland wannabe Kim Kardashian recently said (no charity should be judge) well she should take some notes because she’s too concerned with the chattering voices and what other people think. If you know you are doing good then do it. But if you really want to impress me, leave the designer outfits home, put the hair in a ponytail, take off the make-up and do you charity away from the cameras. Saving lives is not a “photo-op” to boost your image. Angelina let the camera follows because she has the power to get peoples attention.

remywill, get your facts straight. I don't know why people make things up when it's easily found on the internet. They flew on a commercial airline. There are pictures of her at LAX and Heathrow Airports. There wouldn't be any pictures if it was a private flight. They don't own a $70 million house. They rented a chateau for a summer and haven't even been back since. Besides most A-list celebrities, even those who do charity like Oprah and George Clooney, fly private and have multi-million homes. I will never understand why people have one set of rules for Brad and Angelina and another for all other celebrities.

Skankalina is nothing more the a PR wh0re. When doing charitable work you don't notify the media, bring your own photographer AND be in every flippen photo. Plus you don't have your hair done, make-up on, designer clothes on and stay in some five star resort. She is in need of some positive PR, she's been dumped by Brad, they've got financial problems with the foundation, drugs, and the twins. That's listing only a few. If she was wanting to show her children that not all children are privileged why didn't she bring Pax, Z, & Shiloh? Arguing about Angelina on the internet with a bunch of strangers is pointless; is like Haiti, everyone knows is there but none visit and none care. I don't feel anything for Angie, but I have to give her props in the humanitarian department. She has turned all of that distructive behavior into doing something productive and positive which makes me not to be a "Zealous fan" but glad that shes bringing some kind of positive attention. why is this brave? a lot of my colleagues are visiting the middle east for humanitarian projects. you can even take your vacation there. it's not like there is war on every square meters, in every city. friends in iran told me how a war is going on some kilometers from there home but people are still living there lifes like going to work, doing laundry , having vacation (go skiing, yes, SKIING) and most people i know from there hate having the military in their country. they are trying to get rid of their awful past and have to deal with a western force who tries to make money&fame of them at the same time.
