Eva Mendes looked amazing in red as she launched her signature home collection, Vida, at Macy's Herald Square this weekend in New York City. Eva said of her line
“Vida is about easy luxury – the colors, fabrics and textures that I live and love, brought to life in a stylish, comfortable and affordable way. I’m excited to partner with one of the strongest names in the retail industry and to see my passion for design come to life.”

llucy - i remember as a little girl, getting teased about my mustache. my mom would bleach it (which hurt) and later i'd wax it or tweeze it (which hurt). and, of course, the insults hurt. its a shame that people could be so careless with their cruelty. its a part of my genes, just like being brown-eyed, or curly-haired. teachers and family members, too, would try to persuade me to tie back or straighten my hair. but i'd rather be proud of my heritage. beauty comes in so many forms. i'd rather celebrate it, than spend a moment of my energy denigrating other people. best to all.

One should think acting doesn't pay, the way so many celebs seem to be busy to make money on the side, not only by "designing" stuff but also the ads, the paid appearances...
I'm digging the Penelope set. I might even head out to pick one up in the next couple of weeks.
