Will You Watch Growing Up Maguire?

Hmmmnnn…. Tobey Maguire’s mother and brother have just landed a reality show deal. NOT Tobey… his FAMILY. It’s called ‘Growing Up Maguire’ and
plans to show how "Wendy, a single mother, sacrifices to shield her children from the downside of the entertainment industry."

Are you planning on tuning in? What do you think about reality shows going to people who are close to celebs? Is it too desperate? Or will people watch anyway?

Don’t we have enough reality TV shows now? I mean, once MC Hammer has his own, we know they’re not cool anymore.

  7. Anonymous says:

Uh, ok, your kid is famous for playing Spiderman. That’s cool, but not excatly being the parents of Michael Jackson, being MC Hammer, Bret Michaels or one of the Lohans or Osbrones. Whats next? From the producers of the Osbornes, it’s the new crazy reality show, The Osmonds!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I don’t get how she’s “protecting” them when she’s basically jumping into the shark pool herself. Also, aren’t they adults????

I’ll bet she didn’t ask Tobey for his blessing, and he probably won’t be involved much (if at all).

  12. Danie says:

Pass. I’m done with “reality” shows.

  13. NiChar says:

What the………….She doing reality TV to shield her children from downside
of the entertainment business. Too late. It just doesn’t make sense.

  14. Don O'Keefe says:

I would watch anything with Wendy in it. She was a beautiful person when I knew her when I was younger and she is still a good person.

  15. I would watch anything with Wendy in it. She was a beautiful person when I knew her years ago and she is still an outstanding person who loves the Lord.

  16. Wonder_Woman says:

    not interested

  17. Deb says:

What? No, I would not watch. And I can only imagine how this makes Tobey feel? Isn’t he like the most private celebrity known to man? My prediction is that this will not end well for his family.

Btw – is it just me or is this site SUPER slow? All of the other websites I’m visiting are normal speed (DSL) but this one takes forever to load each page… :(

  18. OutInLeftField says:

Absolutely will NOT watch. Obviously Wendy isn’t really interested in shielding her children from the downside of the entertainment industry since she’s doing a reality show. The worst way to exploit yourself and your family is by doing a reality show. PLEASE STOP THIS NONSENSE. Sorry about that, I had to get it out of my system.

  19. hexkitten says:

I was thinking about this, too. It’s hypocritical to say you’re shielding your family but then do a reality show.

  20. Nyx says:

I don’t watch reality tv and even if I did, I wouldn’t watch this. I’m sick to death of seeing relatives trying to cash in on the fame of celebs.

  22. hkay says:

Let me get this straight, she’s shielding her children from the entertainment industry by doing a reality show? Really? (o_O)

  23. DonnaJ says:

    Pass.

  24. Jessy D22 says:

Not tuning in for this one.

  25. merce369 says:

I got only one question: What Tobey think about this “great” idea?
    I bet he’s absolutely thrilled!
