Eva Mendes Loves Therapy

Eva Mendes loves being able to sit down with someone and just let it all out without judgement. In fact, she credits therapy for changing her life. The star tells Marie Claire magazine,

"(I’m) a woman who has been through life experiences, thank God, and therapy. I love therapy! "I'm very into it. I'm very in touch with my feelings, so I'm a completely different person.

"Not that different but you know… I gotta tell you, there's nothing like going in and sitting down and talking to someone who has no emotional tie to your life. Just to talk to someone. It's amazing."

I would think that a celeb would really enjoy being able to talk to a therapist because they know by law the information cannot be leaked to a reporter. You can't really say that about family and friends - as we have seen time and time again in the media.

If only more people would go to a therapist and then maybe I wouldn't have to hear all their drama.

It's hard enough finding true friends without the celebrity status, so I can imagine that a therapist would be the way to go! :D

My mom force me into doing it when i was a tenn. For me it was the other way around she thought i wasnt too intouch with my emotions. And than after giving the therapist an attitude and all of that "Good will hunting" crap. I began to enjoy it and it was very helpfull. I thank my therapist for so many great things.

I go to therapy and it has made a HUGE improvement in my life just to have someone I can go and vent to. If everyone was able to go every other week for an hour, we would be a much happier society. I have friends that have severe emotional issues and try to take medications to deal with it, and it just doesn't work because I tried that, too. I know medication is sometimes necessary, but I think people in general try to take a pill to make their problems go away instead of coping with them. Just my opinion from my personal experience...

I tried therapy for a year and it was the best thing I ever did to heal after a huge bereavement. Saying that, it is really addictive, I mean, you never really run out of issues to talk about and you have to set a limit for yourself eventually, unless you are a millionaire! I have tons of friends but sometimes you do need an outsider who has no connetions to you at alll to be really free and talk about issues you keep hidden.

I LOVE therapy too. It makes me realize things I would never otherwise realize. I go once a week and it's great, but VERY costly. I have friends too, but it's so much different telling a therapist about your life.
