Jordin Sparks applies her own make-up before shows.
The ‘Battlefield’ singer – who shot to fame after winning ‘American Idol’ in 2007 – never gets professionals to apply her cosmetics as she prefers doing it herself.
"I do my own make-up before my concerts. When everything is so incredibly crazy around a show, it gives me that hour to be quiet and calm myself down and it gives me a sense of control. Over the years, I’ve learned what looks good."
The 19-year-old singer has a host of tricks she uses to ensure she always looks fresh-faced, but admits there is one area of her appearance she struggles to perfect.
She explained to OK! magazine:
"I can never get my eyebrows the way I want them since there’s always a piece sticking out or growing back in!
But after so many applications, Jordin has a few tips to share:
"Always accentuate the crease in your eyes to help your eyes stand out.
Also, I’m a fanatic about fake eyelashes – they’re fun! Layer mascara before putting them on and then coat with another layer.
Drink lots of water and find the right skin care products, especially when you have dry skin in some spots and oily in others, like me."

Yeah…we all apply make-up…but the question is……Can you you apply your make-up to look great in the lighting on stage? Can you make it really stand out without looking like you have a black eye?????? Give the girl some credit! —em’s

make up is easy, whats hard is trying to find good products for your face to look flawless. their is only so much make up that can cover skin blemishes, acne, etc
I wish it was easy for me… not very good at it since I didn’t use it when I was younger (back home, in Africa we hardly use makeup).
I think she’s so cute and so real. A good rolemodel to girls since she’s always so happy, has what appear to be good morals and isn’t anorexic thin.

I don’t often wear make-up unless I’m going out….my biggest challenge is putting eyeliner on! It’s always messy and uneven – I can’t keep my eyes close! I don’t know how people do it. She is pretty brave putting her own make-up on – I think she looks great. a lot of people ending up looking like a clown….I mean look at christina aguilera! somebody need to teach her how to put on make-up properly!
