Diane Keaton is trying her hand at television with a half-hour HBO comedy written by Marti Noxon (whose previous credits include ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer,’ ‘Grey’s Anatomy,’ and ‘Private Practice’). Diane’s character is a feminist icon who attempts to reinvigorate the feminist movement by starting up a sexually explicit magazine.
Noxon had carried the germ of the idea for a show that touches upon
feminism as long as she can remember. She was 12 when her mother came out as a radical feminist and a
lesbian and recalls juggling her mom’s beliefs — which included
dismissing leg shaving as "giving into patriarchalism" — with her
own interests."I wanted to be a gal, I was very interested in men, and I wanted
to shave my legs," Noxon said."We’ve came a long way since the Kinsey report; women are more
sexual now," said Noxon, referring to Alfred Kinsey’s controversial
1953 report "Sexual Behavior in the Human Female."Added [Executive Producer] Parouse: "There seems to be a new evolution of what women are
sexually. Women are acting more like men sexually."
This sounds like it has the potential to be hilarious, depending on how it’s done (and with Diane’s involvement, I feel optimistic).
Does it sound interesting to you?

I like Diane Keaton, but the plotline of her new series doesn’t sound interesting to me. I don’t understand why so many feminist movements have to play the sexually explicit card.
I’m curious, as I usually like everything Diane’s involved in.
Love Diane, anything she’s in count me in
I like Diane very much, but probably won’t have the time to watch.
Welcome to our Cheap NFL Jerseys store.
We also have Cheap NHL Jerseys too.
I’d rather get my toenails pulled clean off then watch this.
Wow… um.. Id rather just watch reruns of sex in the city
I was just trying to make a point…I guess it was a bit extreme.
I like Diane Keaton. She is really funny and she seems like a really cool person, not all stuck up, like someone you’d want to hang out with. I don’t have HBO so I won’t be watching until it comes out on DVD but I hope it does well. It does sound like it could be funny.
Love it!
If done right, it could be funny.
I love Diane Keaton and everything she does. Even that horrible horrible disaster with Queen Latifah and Katie Holmes. I just like that she’s chosen to grow old gracefully instead of having her cheeks pinned to her ears. And how she’s maintained her own personal style since her Woody Allen days.
I agree, I like Diane Keaton… She’s classy & like it was said, she decided to grow old gracefully instead of conforming to the “norms” these days…
I’d try watching it…
this seems a little insulting to the feminist movement, as if sex is what is important.
I am a big fan of Diane Keaton..love her sense of fashion, her honesty and her decision to be real in an industry that values the fake. I would watch it, if I had HBO.
