Ciara says her short hairstyle helps her "express herself".
The ‘Love, Sex and Magic‘ singer has previously sported hair extensions, but admits she is easily bored and so decided to have a drastic restyle.
"I have to admit I love my hair long, but trying shorter is fun too because with fashion and with women, our hair is our way of us expressing ourselves. That’s kind of what I felt and that’s what inspired me to go short."
The 23-year-old star revealed she has stylist Kiyah Wright to thank for her sexy new do.
She revealed to People magazine:
"I was like, ‘I just want to go short today,’ so I said to my hair stylist, ‘What can we do?’ We went in, we played around, we created something fun and that’s where it came from."
Since opting for the chop, Ciara’s eyes have been opened to a host of new products, including Indonesian hair wax Tancho Stick.
She explained:
"You take it and you piece your hair. This hair takes ten minutes to fix. I wake up in the morning and I don’t have to rush as much.

Short hair looks okay on her. If she wanted her long hair back she can easily put back her extensions.

Haha, it’s a funny question, how long does it take me to get ready in the morning, i say about 10 minutes, wash up, put a cream , brush my hair, done. I spend aout 30 minutes to get my daughter ready for creche, don’t have much time left for myself
she is gorgeous!! but long hair suites her much better!!! and it takes me at least 30 minutes to get ready in the morning
Ciara is beautiful but I like her hair better long. It takes me about 20 minutes to a half hour to do my hair.

I like Ciara’s hair longer too…and it takes me all of 5 minutes to do my hair. I wash, condition, brush it out and go. My hair is very straight and to my waist. I never liked messing with my hair and I can’t stand gel and mousse. LOL!

I cut my long hair few years ago, since i remember myself i always had long hair, my dad and my mom loved it as well as me, i got tired one day though and went from “till butt” length to short short
