Scarlett Johansson To Play Marilyn Monroe In Upcoming Biopic
Scarlett Johansson is being lined up to play Marilyn Monroe.
The 24-year-old blonde beauty is reportedly at the top of a list of actresses being considered by director Simon Curtis and producer David Parfitt for new film 'My Week With Marilyn'.
Kate Hudson, Amy Adams and Michelle Williams have also been mentioned as possible stars of the film, according to newspaper columnist Baz Bamigboye.
Is it wrong of me to say that I don't believe any of these actresses would do Marilyn justice?
If only Jennifer Tilly looked more like Marilyn. I think she would be able to portray her better...
The movie will be based on the diary of Colin Clark, an employee of Laurence Olivier, who looked after the blonde bombshell when she came to London to film Olivier's 'The Prince and the Showgirl' in 1957.

In the diary, Clark talks about showing Marilyn around Queen Elizabeth's private apartments at Windsor Castle and other "behind-the-scenes" trips.
Clark published excerpts of his diary in 1958, but left the details of one week out. These chapters weren't released until he died in 2002, and will form the basis of the movie.
Parfitt explained:
"Once everyone else was dead, Clark had arranged for the missing week to be issued."
British film writer Adrian Hodges has adapted the papers into a script.
My interest is officially piqued!

I agree , to a point. She may look like her in part , but her skills as an actress are too hard and tomboy like. she needs to be softer . I can see Amy Adams more than anyone else. And jennifer tilly doesn't look enough like her or even sexy enough (and too old) to be that Siren; and Jennifer tilly has spent too much time playing an airhead in her movies that it doesn't come off as sweet and coy , with a sexy undertone like Ms. Monroe. so Hell no to her too, WHAT YOU SNIFFING , SUGAR!(to vera)

^I know! I dontr know how the comparisons even began - It's all due to the fact that there aren't a lot of "curvy" starlets in Hollywood...so then they see Scarho (talent or no talent) and her tits get her the job! Ugh puthetic!
same here: please not Scarlett. Even in ads where they try to make her look like Marilyn, it doesn't work. She'd also have to take so many acting classes to actually "act" well, nevermind know how to move and speak like Marilyn. I was hoping Michelle Williams would get the Marilyn part itself and do it some justice.

Jennifer Tilly? interesting choice, I would never thought about Tilly, she is very sexy and her voice is just as sexy. I think Scarlet looks a lot like Marilyn, maybe she can pull it off.

She has the looks but I don't know about her acting ability because I have never seen one of her movies. I would definitely choose her over the other choices. But, no one can do Marilyn justice. She was amazing.
I think Naomi Watts would be perfect. When I saw her in the King Kong movie and they had all these close-ups of her face. I kept saying to myself, she looks just like Marilyn Monroe.
I totally agree! I think Naomi looks like her even without any makeup. They have similar facial features and I think Scarlett looks too different.
