Penelope Cruz Arrives At Tegel Airport

Penelope Cruz and Pedro Almodovar were spotted arriving at Tegel Airport in Germany after a flight from London, making their way to Hotel de Rome. The two were in London for the British premiere of Pedro's latest film, 'Broken Embraces', starring Penelope.
Do you like watching foreign films? Or are the subtitles too distracting? I went through a pretty large period of my life when I was obsessed with them, but have since given the movies up.

She looks so pretty. I don't mind subtitles. I'm a huge multi-tasker so I have no problem reading and watching. ~ Liz ~

LOL. that is hardly "multi-tasking". Are you serious?
hah, well where i live all the films have subtitles, and i couldn't imagine just watching my own countrys films, so restricting... and of course in the english-spoken world there's a lot more to choose from, but still, that's like... dunno, really weird to me to say "i've given them up". hmm, well films are only films, so you can learn about cultures and history and other countries in diff. ways so i guess it doesn't matter. i've lived in france for one yr, and the films are dubbed there. (although they have original versions too, but not for TV for example) it was completely ridiculous to me, but i've studied media etc. so i know it has some benefits compared to subtitles (you don't pay any attention to reading the text if u're used to it, and the eye doesn't follow it in the same way that it does reading a book, eye movement studies have been made :D) but i think in dubbed movies half of the persona disappears... actors use of voice is just as important as the movements. then again, if the ambiance is more important than the actual text, it's good to have dubbed version (some horror film directors i.e. think reading crashes the mood, but it depends, really doesn't apply to all...) ah but what was i talking about?? yes i watch foreign films, couldn't imagine doing otherwise!! to me it's not watching "arty" films, even here in europe we do a wide range from crap action to romcom and again to history pieces and so on..

Love Penelope and foreign films. The subtitles don't bother me at all.
