Eric Bana thinks people who work out hard enough to have hard abs have no friends.
The ‘Time Traveler’s Wife‘ actor isn’t concerned about having a perfect body
because he would rather spend his free time enjoying himself.
He told ‘Access Hollywood‘:
“Abs are for people with no friends. I don’t do
the ab thing. I’ve even had them once, actually, for a film, and they were
always covered up. I just said to myself, ‘Well, I’ll just never do that
again.’ That was a waste of time. There’s so much more to enjoy in life.”
In his latest movie – in which he plays librarian Henry DeTamble, who
involuntarily travels through time – Eric had to appear naked several times
but says he only did it because he was told it was scientifically accurate.
He said:
“The movie’s very romantic. Henry’s just a guy who’s in love and I
think that’s a masculine thing.
“We had a time traveling expert on the set who said that for a fact if
Henry were to time travel he would be naked. We just had to take his word
for it.”
A time traveling expert…. Hmmmnnnn. Wonder how he became one of those?
Did anyone used to watch ‘Journeyman‘? I LOVED that show – but it’s since been canceled. It had the same concept as ‘Time Traveler’s Wife‘, a book which was written long before the show.

i think we could all take one hour out of our days to hit the gym, or at least a good 15 minutes to do some sit-ups if nothing else! he may have been trying to be funny but it sounds to me like he was completely serious.
and gross, there is nothing more repulsive than seeing a jiggly belly on an otherwise good looking man.

As for poeple with abs without friends i think its’s either been taken out of context or he was joking. Physical appearance doesn’t define factor for having friends.

Yeah, thats why I don’t have a flat stomach either, way to busy with my hordes of friends!!!! Thats my excuse and I’m sticking with it too…. Wonder when a bit of squishiness is going to be ‘in’?????
