Nominations for the 2009 MTV Video Music Awards have just been announced. Beyonce and Lady GaGa are tied for the most nominations: nine each! They’re both nominated for video of the year and best female video.

Beyoncé says. "I’ve been blessed this year to have ‘Single Ladies’
become a video people really connected with and responded to. I’ve
spent so much time watching all the great versions people created all
around the world. It’s beautiful to feel you touch people and bring a
song to life with a video."
The VMAs will air on September 13 with Russell Brand as the host. Performers include Taylor Swift and Pink, and Katy Perry, Ne-Yo and Chace Crawford are among the scheduled presenters.
Congratulations and good luck to both Beyonce and Lady GaGa! Regardless of who wins, you know Russell will be crazy as the host- LOL.

You all are so right. First of all, I am still sad about Michael. I miss those years when he use to perform now it is all BS. Between Kanye crying like a female and the rest of the garbage, I am not interested. I do hope Beyonce beats that trash gaga she is a disgrace.
I think I’ll be skipping the VMA’s this year.
It is so sad. Up until about 5 years ago I had seen every single VMA’s (yes I am THAT old). It used to be a fun show to watch. But now everyone is so fake, they don’t sing their songs (at the VMS’s on in concert) and it is all about who can out-do each other.
Again, maybe I have just out-grown the VMA’s, but I don’t think I am alone.
