Heidi Klum Won't Use "Girdle Machines" To Lose Her Baby Weight

Heidi Klum doesn’t rely on “girdle machines” to look slim.
The German supermodel – who is currently pregnant and already raises three children with musician husband Seal – insists she gets back in shape after giving birth by simply eating healthily and exercising.

Asked about the time she modeled Victoria’s Secret lingerie less than two months after having her son Henry, she replied:

“I've never really had any special girdle machines or anything like that. For me, it's really healthy foods, exercising, playing with the children and going to the park - normal things.

“I've never done diets. But I also do not sit on the couch with my feet up and eat one potato chip bag after the next and one burger after the other.

I think you have to kind of do a little bit of everything."

Despite refusing to embark on ridiculous weight-loss regimes, the 36-year-old model admits she is ready to drop her pregnancy pounds after delivering her new baby.

“I never really put a lot of pressure on myself, but for me personally, I feel like it is always better to get into shape immediately. I feel like if I drag it out too long, I'm not going to do it.

“So for me it works to kind of get back into shape, afterwards, I feel great. I can put my normal clothes back on and it makes me happy, and it's worked so far.”

Oh to put your normal clothes back on... it's like a child's wide-eyed dream.  :)

PS I don't know what a girdle machine is...

Isn't a girdle machine that contraption from yesteryear that had that rubber band that goes around your middle and it vibrates? That's what I think of when I hear girdle machine! She's lucky to have a body that bounces back easily. losethatgirl blog

I have no idea either...but, my baby is now 3 and if there is a girdle machine that works I might want to use it! :)

I like her too, losing the weight is easier for her because she was never fat to begin with. I like what she is wearing, this woman always looks so well put together, even when pregnant.-------------

I love her but comments like this bother me. Sure it's easy for celebrities to just eat healthy and exercise when they have a personal chef to cook for them and a trainer to tell them what to do. On top of that most celebrities have a nanny and don't need to worry about keeping their children safe and occupied while they work out. If I didn't have to worry about what I should eat, how I should exercise, and who is looking after the children I would lose the weight quickly too.

yeah but she's lucky to have a nanny to take care of her children while she can exercise! that's my biggest problem, I don't have time to exercise....babies are so demanding of your time and they can keep you up all night and you're too damn tired to do anything during the day....thank god my youngest is finally sleeping thru the night...but it took her 15 months - so for 15 months I did not have a good night sleep!!

I know what you mean, glad your's is sleeping through the night and you can get back to full night sleeps.

But some children just don't like to sleep they are too active , i find it impossible to have time for a workout, maybe 10 minutes top. My "baby" is 2.5 years and she just doesn't sleep through the night, she needs hugs and kisses in the middle or every three hours :-)))

babies can be trained you know. If you keep indulging her every three hours, you'll never break the cycle.

don't forget when these celebrities give birth, most of them book a c-section and have a tummy tuck done right afterwards.

i gained 50 pounds with my son and i had a c-section. i lost 40 pounds already and that's all because of breastfeeding. no diet and no exercise.

I don't like you very much right now, you lost all that weight by just breast feeding? wonderful!..........I still like your baby though. :o)------

WTG babydre...keep up the good work! I'm impressed!

I think we all need to remember that everyone is built differently. I have regular, non-famous friends without nannies or personal chefs who can just eat right and exercise and be back to pre-baby weight within a month.

Then, there is me, that finally loses all the weight about 3 years after giving birth. But, I make my decisions about what I eat and what I focus on during those months after the baby is born. I could have tried harder, but I was more interested in enjoying my time with my family than tracking what I eat and how much I exercise.

How boring this world would be if we all looked and acted the same.

Kuddos for her. What she says is entirely true and I wish women would stop trying to deminish her hard work and dedication and excuse their own failure to lose baby weight by pulling the "but she has a nanny, chef, c-section, tummy tuck, etc." card. I have 2 children under 3, work-full time and commute 30 minutes to work and was close to or at my pre-pregnancy weight by 12 weeks post-pregnancy. It comes down to breastfeeding, taking care of your self during pregnancy (i.e.not gaining excessive weight) and MAKING the time to take care of yourself after pregnancy - the later two of which I know are difficult. Everyone should be able to find 30 minutes a couple of times a week (for me its very early in the a.m.). If you haven't lost your weight, don't make excuses because there is no one to blame but yourself. Harsh words, I know, but true.

everyone's body is different and while it may be easy for some to loose weight after baby, it's not for others. breast feeding is not the key to losing weight for everyone. I breast fed my eldest son for 2 years and my body held on to the weight while I breast fed. People have different metabolisms and body types and gain weight in different areas. No one should be made to feel bad if they cannot lose their baby weight 5 minutes after giving birth, it's ridiculous.

It's probably binding, which I have heard works for many women, like the belly bandit or tauts. She just likes to show off, hee hee.
