Jennifer Lopez Misses Her Babies

Jennifer Lopez Misses Her Babies

Aside from the complete invasion of privacy and dealing with fake stories in the rags, I'd say one of the hardest parts of being a celebrity must be all the travel. You can't always take your children with you as they age. You have to consider school and friends and stability.

Jennifer Lopez has found a way to stay close even when she is far, far away. The actress uses a webcam to chat with Max and Emme when she is away on business.

"I hate being away from my kids," she says. "But we have devised this
thing where I can see them on the computer. I call up on the web camera
so I can see the babies while I am away and I just look at them. It is
so sweet - my son just stares at the camera and looks. And then my
daughter just starts crying when she sees me on the screen. She holds
out her arms to me and gets very upset. It breaks my heart if I am away
from them even for a short time."

That would kill me. Break my heart. I don't know how she could handle it!

Do you have to be separate from your family for business? If so, how do you cope?

That dress & hairstyle are meant for a much younger woman...she looks like an aging hippie.

Her children aren't in school yet. Doesn't she have enough money to travel with her children? Nannies anyone? I think Jlo is full of it.

That could get pretty disruptive to the kids lives and schedules though if she puts them on a plane every couple of days. Just because someone has money doesn't always make some things in life that much easier

Of course she has enough money to bring the nannies, but wouldn't that just defeat the purpose of having a low key vacation with just your husband?

"we have devised this thing where I can see them on the computer..." Hmmm, like Skype? She should've just said it like it really happens: "When I miss my kids, I tell my assistant to make them appear on the computer screen."

They are way too little to be using the webcam to see mom. :( How distressing for them! To see their mom but not be able to be physically comforted by her? Ack. I can picture the scene in my head.

HA! Anonymous, I was going to say the same thing. "Devised this thing?" News flash Jenny from the Block, us regular people do that little thing too, it's called a webcam! Gee, I wonder if she's using Al Gore's internet to do her thing?

How funny..I was going to say that I thought she actually pulled off this look really well...and I'm not a fan of hers. They actually both look cute. I tend to think they could bring the kids wherever they wanted...come on..money is no object, and that is usually what stops most of us is the hassle (no help/no money for help etc).

It's definitely tough to be away from family, but you learn to cope and you appreciate that much more what you have!

It seems to me this is the first vacation they've taken in a while. Parents are allowed to have kidless vacations, you know. I don;t know of any parents who don't.

Try being one of the hundreds of thousands of servicemen and women with NATO forces that are away from theyir families (and in harm's way) everyday. Oh the tough and terrible life of a celebrity... it must be SO hard!

elaineunodostress, every time I hear people use that term "you can't compare apples and oranges" I always say to myself; "why not, apples and oranges are both fruits" anyway, is just how my mind works :)-------

well, you've got a point there Gisela, just not the point I'm trying to make. Peace.

Not really... we're talking about parents being away from children. A celebrity chooses that.

Because she doesn't have the means to keep her family in one place most of the time? She and Marc Anthony must be hurting for cash.

Sorry but is funny to me, the article says and some commentors here also have said "is disruptive to the kids lives and schedules, friends and stability" which I agree with 100%; but, when it comes to Brangelina though is perfectly OK because kids can benefit from traveling and getting to know different countries and cultures....LOL!!--------

I couldn't leave my baby for a long period of time like that. It would be too darn hard. I have to admit though, a little time to myself would be nice. I could probably only handle it for one maybe two days.

im not a mom but i can imagine that sometimes you need a break from your kids. but moms are probably so used to caring for their kids that they start missing them after a few days.

Poor JLo and her utter lonelyness. I'm sure she's completely heartbroken laying on the beaches of Italy - or where ever Waldo is - dreaming of her babies. Agreed "Anonymous" when you have a real tragedy to talk about, i.e. a soldier's family being torn apart, then you'll get my attention.
