Jessica Simpson says cosmetic surgery won’t make people happy.
The singer-and-actress – who is filming new TV show ‘The Price of Beauty’,
which discovers what is deemed attractive in different parts of the world -
insists women must learn to love their bodies.
Jessica – who has previously had her lips made plumper with Restylane -
said:
“No matter how much money you spend to make yourself beautiful – with
all the products, the diets, the plastic surgery – in the end, women need to
fall in love with themselves and realize they’re beautifully and wonderfully
made. There is no ‘perfect’ you.“Whether wearing rings to elongate your neck in Thailand or having plastic
surgery in Brazil, women all over the world go to great lengths to feel
beautiful.”
Jessica has also hit out at the expectations placed on women to look
perfect.
The 29-year-old blonde beauty added to Glamour magazine:
“It’s not
fair that women look in the mirror and feel disgust because of what society
has made them believe.“I absolutely, 100 per cent do not agree with how everyone is made to feel
body obsessed. Celebrities aren’t perfect. It’s amazing to me how much
thought is put into a woman’s figure on tabloid covers.”
If only I could let go of the obsession that easily! Believe me, I’ve TRIED! Having children thankfully has made me not as insecure. Have you gotten over expectations with age?

I thought I heard that the tv show will pay her $25,000.00 on wardrobe, clothes and make-up a day when she’s filming “the price of beauty”…what a hypocrite. I really don’t understand her message.
Is that why she has to spend $25,000 and episode for her new show to look perfect??? Get over yourself sister, you are perpetuating the ‘perfect’ idea. Someone shut this bitch up!
This is the realest and smartest thing she has ever said in her life.
Sorry *double post*
FYI: As a person who has had their deviated septum corrected, it should be known that a surgeon NEVER has to change the shape of a person’s nose. A hole is simply punched through the septum to allow breathing. It is, however, VERY common for people wanting cosmetic surgery on their nose to use the deviated septum excuse to have insurance pay for their nose job.
WOW, she actually sounds half smart here…. good on her, I totally agree with that statement… Actually think that her new series sounds pretty cool.
it was her sister who had the deviated septom, not her
confirm
Did she have this conversation with her sister and her sisters nose?
*~Yeah it’s me Weez!~*
Don’t you remember that that was a “deviated septum”???
I don’t think she’s slamming plastic surgery. She’s just saying that in the end you have to be happy with yourself. If fixing your nose makes you happy, then by all means do it.
Yeah, it just makes them look odd. losethatgirl blog
She has the right perspective on things! Good for her! I admit that I look in the mirror and think, I wish my thighs looked like that model on that magazine (even though I know it’s photoshopped!). She’s absolutely right! Whatever you look like and however you’re happy is how you should live your life.
I don’t think there’s anything wrong with upkeep as you age, but when people start knifing up their bodies and literally change who they are that’s something deeper than even a surgeon’s knife can cut.
Uh-huh. What she said ^
She has the right image in her head
What is truly amazing is how much she pays Ken Paves to make her look the way she does. Not to mention the amount of money her show will be doling out to pay for her hair and makeup people. I can’t believe the things that come out of this girls mouth. She’s as obsessed as anyone.
She only had her lips done? Right, and I still believe in Father Christmas and the Easter Beagle.
dont forget the tooth fairy! :p
this is such BS! i was gonna say–she should interview her sister about her nose job—but someone already made that comment.
