Deborah Ann Woll Joins The Cast Of 'Mother's Day'

Do you remember the cult horror film 'Mother's Day'? It was about three girls who go camping and run into a pair of brothers who torture and kill to impress their mother. Well, Hollywood's remaking this film as well, and 'True Blood's' Deborah Ann Woll is set to star.

The remake sees the villainous family, slightly expanded to include
a daughter (Woll), return to the house where they grew up and
terrorize the new owners and their guests."

The filmmakers are hoping to release it in time for Mother's Day next year.

Does this sound like it would be a fun thing to see again?

Is True Blood really worth watching? Or is Twilight-esque?

Twilight doesn't qualify as "real" vampires to me. they seem too emo...and hello? out in the sunlight? HELL NO!! but then again i've read every Anne Rice book.

give it a try.... its surprisingly addictive. :)

I'd agree. I really enjoyed the first three Vampire Chronicles books, but I got up to Armand the Vampire and kindof hit a snag. Lost a bit of interest. I have the rest of them, but I just haven't had the desire to start them again.

I think the question was whether True Blood is worth watching, not Twilight?

It was intended to ask if True Blood was worth watching. I hear a lot about it, but often in tandem with Twilight. I don't like anything about the Twilight franchise, so if it's like that then I don't want to watch it. I prefer my vampires not to glitter

Ha ha, Mother's Day was one of UKs Video Nasties. Awesome. I doubt it will live up to expectations, unless of course they are extremely low.

Why would they release this on Mother's Day??? Not exactly the kind of feel-good movie you'd take your mom to.

Twilight is pop-culture-cattle crap. True Blood is a very gritty, down-to-earth take on how life would be with vampires (and other supernaturals) living side-by-side with humans. It explores the many faces people wear and why, how we treat each other, the dark secrets we all keep... compelling you to re-evaluate your beliefs and morals in regards to others, especially when they are different from yourself. I generally avoid TV altogether, however True Blood is a pleasant exception that falls far from the tree of typical crap tv.
