How is she not totally embarrassed? She hasn’t been able to sing for years. She wasted her voice by whispering and doing faux hip hop/r&b for years. If you don’t use it, you lose it, and she lost it long ago. The fact that she had to APOLOGIZE after her performance at Michael Jackson’s Memorial Service should’ve been enough to make her realize that she sucks. I’d have been mortified. You’d think she would’ve gone into hiding, hired the best vocal coach money could buy, and not perform again until she could get it right. But I guess prancing around in clothes from the Juniors section at J.C. Penney while singing a bad karaoke version of a song from a demo tape found in the reject bin of her record label works just as well.

Is truly sad cause this woman had one of the best voices after Whitney Houston i concider her the second best. But she sounds horrible nowadays. Please Mariah STOP singing your making a fool of yourself.
Terrible performance. She was so much better when she was married to Tommy Mottola. Before she decided to become a tramp. And that “marriage” of hers? Fakest. Relationship. Ever. She wouldn’t even get close to him when he hugged her. Most married couples would have at least given eachother a peck on the lips and she totally turned her face away from him. Sad, she used to be really good.

Okay, okay… not her best performance but then again she is being modest and this show is NOT about her. Cute song, but again not one of my favorites. But I’m happy to see she is trying to have fun with her music after so long of not being able to do what she wanted with it. She and Nick are so cute and I LOVED that she grabbed his booty!! She sounded better than she has in the past few albums, people!! She sounded super strong toward the end, with the high notes especially–that shocked me. But yes, she needs to cut out those gross extentions, wear shorter shoes and a more sensible outfit from her stylist. That top and the jeweled capris were AWFUL.
Her backup singers were terrible. they messed up all of her harmonies, and the tune. UGH! FIRE THEM MIMI!!!!

BUT THIS WAS MUCH MUCH MUUUCH BETTER!!!! i dunno y ppl keep on saying the dancing and singing was bad, i noe its not as good as the 90′s but seriously, cut her sum slack. LUVV THE EXTRA HIGH NOTES SHE BUT IN!!!! her fashion sense has improved quite a bit, the part wen she crabbed nick’s ass was HILARIOUS!!!!IT JUST ADDED APPEAL TO THE PERFORMANCE!!! LOL!
I agree with all that was said, in that i wasnt crazy over it. Is it me or did it look like she missed a part of the song towards the end, she was in the back of the dancers and she had a part (a high note) that she missed and when she missed it she looked up and to the left, then kinda just kept on singing. Almost like she was lip syncing. Rewatch and let me know please, I watched it twice and still seems like it. Thanks.

I think that the issue that should concern you, rather than the “color difference” between the couple, is the age differential. Ok, I completely get the cougar thing but for an infant? Michael Jackson was her friend. Not only did Mariah not rehearse the song before the memorial, but she was also the first to perform. Yes, in the beginning of the performance her voice cracked. However, the performance wasn’t terrible. It showed more emotion than any other of her performances of that song. People used to bash her saying that she sacrificed emotion in her singing just to display vocal pyrotechnics. Well it was the opposite during the memorial, and I believe it was better that way. Mariah also said she regretted apologizing, stating that it was better that she was emotional in the moment.
And as far as her dress code is concerned – who the FUCK cares? Honestly, she’s not a fashion model. She’s a singer, and we love her for the beautiful music she has given us since the 90′s. Hey, maybe she’s just being smart. She knows that one day she’s going to age real fast, so she’s flaunting it while she still has it! Just leave her the fuck alone and go spread your hate on some other blog. Clearly if you’re concerned with what Mariah Carey wears, you have all the time in the world.
