Jessica Simpson Talks About Japanese Earthquake
Jessica Simpson feared she was “hallucinating” when she was caught in an earthquake.
The singer-and-actress was in Japan to film her new reality TV show ‘The Price of Beauty’ when the ground was rocked by the tremor, which measured 6.6 on the Richter Scale.
She wrote on her Twitter page:
“Thought I was hallucinating. I have never felt anything like this in my life. Laying in bed watching CNN (sic).”
The earthquake hit Japan’s Suruga Bay at 5.07am local time on Tuesday, and although it caused no damage or casualties a tsunami warning was issued.
Jessica wasn’t the only star to be left shaken by the event.
Beyonce and her sister Solange were also in the country, and felt the earth move.
Solange wrote on Twitter:
“My sister said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and I was snoring.”
Another way those sisters are so very different.
Have you ever been through an earthquake?

I've been through three of them; one of them pretty major. Its a very scary feeling, but I would rather face an earthquake than face a tornado. THAT is really scary to me.

I have never encountered a earthquake......I've been through several tornados though. (North TX is part of tornado alley) Tornados don't seem to bother me as much anymore. I think I'd be a little freaked out about a earthquake. I guess b/c it would be something new to me. ---em's

I know....pretty funny how it doesn't really effect me anymore. My hubby on the other hand is born and raised Texan and he freaks out about bad weather. ---em's

Been through 1 earthquake and it was pretty weird. I didn't really realize what was happening until ceiling tiles started crashing down. It happened too quickly to really get too scared. By the time the shock wore off the earthquake was over.
Here in CA we get little tumblers all the time, and the majority of them we don't feel. The last big earthquake I felt was in 07 in October. Shook our neighborhood pretty well. Rolled the pumpkins we were carving right off the table :) Earthquakes don't kill people. It's the structures collapsing and the fires resulting from the damage that does . . . except if you count the cow that got swallowed whole in the 1906 earthquake. . .LOL. I'd rather "deal" with earthquakes than hurricanes or tornadoes. Now those look scary.

well i live in CA and the last one we had was close to L.A. and it was pretty strong for me cuz i was right next to the epicenter while at work. Then a few aftershocks and that was about it. i guess we're all waiting for the BIG ONE to hit. :/ but i agree with SoniaO, i prefer an earthquake than hurricanes and tornadoes. those are waaaaay too many throughout a year. only downside to earthquakes, there's no WARNING :(

I was in Puerto Plata and during the show one nite the ground started to sway. It wasnt very big but it did freak me out ! Apparently they are right on a fault line and get quakes very often.
