Milla Jovovich Struggled To Lose The Baby Weight

Milla Jovovich went through a struggle I'm sure most moms out there can relate too -- she had a very hard time shedding the baby weight post-pregnancy. I'm sure part of that has to do with the fact that she gained 75 pounds though! I think that's a little tiny bit more than what's normal :)
But, she says that in the end, her movie 'Perfect Getaway,' was the kicker to help her lose the weight.
Getting in shape was hard. I was definitely not in shape the way I am
used to being in shape. I gained 75lbs during my pregnancy so I dropped
some pounds for the movie, but what got me out of the house and working
again was that I could play a nice normal girl and I did not have to
worry about my weight too much or getting in shape. I could be normal."
Well, all I know is that Milla has always looked beautiful no matter what. She's one of the most stunning actresses out there!

I feel your pain! I love food too much to do any of those whacky celeb diets and work too much to care about working out at night.

75 lbs?? aren't you suppose to gain about 30 lbs (for single pregnancy)....that's insane. I gained 50 lbs and I thought that was too much. The 2nd one I gained 40 lbs. I lost most of it quickly (for both pregnancy), but it was always that last 10 to 15 lbs I was struggling with but I didn't care - my babies came first.
I love that she admitted to struggling with post-baby weight and lost it the natural way! So many celebs drop the weight within a month and act like it was nothing--when I'm sure most of them had the benefit of a tummy tuck.
She had admitted in an interview that she literally "ate like a pig" when she was pregant. Thus, the 75lb weight gain.
That is very unhealthy for a pregnancy and obviously much harder to lose after the baby is born.
"Normal" weight gain is 25-35 lbs but a lot depends on whether or not it's a single pregnancy, how big the baby is, how big the mother is, etc. When women are already overweight when they become pregnant, they advise women not to gain even the minimum 25 lbs. When women are very underweight, they usually want you to gain more than the 35 lbs.
I only gained 24 lbs with my daughter who was 6.13 lbs at birth. I'm 5'8" and 119 lbs when not pregnant. I ate very healthy and excercised normally. I guess I was lucky that's all my body needed for the health of my baby.

Well welcome to the club Milla! My first, 75lbs gained, baby was 8lbs 10oz, just had my second baby 9mths ago and gained 60lbs with the pregnancy and he was 9lbs 13 oz. Lost it all after the first and 10lbs away from losing with my second baby. I don't believe "you should only gain 30lbs with your pregnancy" I hate healthy/normal with both babies and still gained weight and a lot of it was water/swelling, as long as your baby is healthy through your pregnancy, you really don't have anything to worry about. I just believe it's all about your body type and your genes on how you will gain weight with the pregnancy.
I often wonder how we all survived (30yrs ago) when most pregnant mothers ate whatever they wanted, most babies were formula fed and weren't concerned about peanut allergies etc.
Whoa Nelly! That was way too much weight. They say the maximum weight gain should be 50 pounds otherwise you are actually putting yourself and your baby at risk for things like diabetes!
I hate when people say that normal gain weight is...25-35lbs...but I don't know anyone who gained just 35lbs! Maybe there are, I'm not saying no...but every woman's body is different. I have 10 more days until the due time and I gained 55 so far...Believe me!!! I didn't eat fast food, I didn't eat more then before, besides the first 3 months I couldn't eat much, and now that my stomach is close to my neck, I can't eat much either. No sweets, just fruits, fresh fruits and I still gained as much as I did..and I can't say I sit on my ass all day...so the 35lbs is pretty much bull***...I love Milla for telling the truth, I think she's the only one!!
75 lbs is an unhealthy amount of weight to gain for a single pregnancy - but it seems like most actresses/models gain that. I think it is b/c they are constantly on a diet to stay a size 0. Then when they get pregnant, they have to eat for the health of their babies. Just my opinion...
Either way - she looks great.

I would not be that worried about my body if I had hers... I mean, wow. She is a beautiful woman.
