Looks like Dane Cook has finally found a way to make himself relevant again.
Pregnant women should decrease or eliminate their cell phone use when they are expecting. The EMF is suspected to be too strong for a developing fetus and the potential complications are still being researched.
I am sure she doesn't realize it. But common sense should definitely prevail in regard to whatever that sugary nonsense is in her cup.
She is beautiful and I am a huge fan, but seeing pregnant ladies who take unnecessary risks like this is always saddening.
Should they also be locked in rooms and shut out from sunlight and also not work or ride in a car. Get real, there is nothing harmful about having a cup of coffee occasionally when pregnant and seriously talking on a cell phone. Those waves you're talking about have been shielded in most new phones to keep everyone safe.
Jack, you really need to do your research on the cell phone topic. I highly suggest you read a book called, "Electromagnetic Fields: A Consumer's Guide to the Issues and How to Protect Ourselves." Your assertion that phones are safe is based on what evidence? Please do yourself a favor and read up on the topic first before you develop conclusions.
No, the sugary coffee drink won't due substantial harm, but it's not great. The combination of the food and the unhealthy drink is troubling.
I think most of us are aware at this point that a lot of unhealthy things exist in our daily lives---these things exist because company's want to make $ and it's up to us to figure out what is safe and in what doses. Government agencies have basically said that it's up to corporations to police safety, and corporations have shrugged this off with the excuse that they exist to make profit. So, if you want to trust that EVERYTHING is fine in moderation, go ahead. But you will occasionally be wrong.
You can't lock yourself in a room during pregnancy, but new moms do have the responsibility to be hyper-vigilant about everything they consume (including technology) to ensure that the baby---who has not yet develop efficient immune protections---can develop normally. Otherwise, as I'm sure you can guess, there could be lifelong consequences.
First I have done my research thank you. I'm not one of those people who are snotty and put my opinion where its not warranted. If you ever paid attention to the news perhaps you would know that they made these wonderful little things that block the bad waves from cellular phones. Now not to seem snotty but as they cost around 20$ I would see no reason as to why she wouldn't have one. While I don't know miss Ellen myself I would assume that she's not a moron and understands completely all the "bad" things that can happen during pregnancy. Please don't put me down because I made a comment about someone being a bit absurd about cell phone usage and drinking coffee while pregnant. While these things "MAY" and I say MAY because as was stated in the first post they are still being researched, be harmful there are plenty worse things that many pregnant women do on a regular basis. I have never in my life (and I am a mother and I read everything I could get my hands on while pregnant) seen anything about a baby being harmed because of minimal coffee consumption. The many things I've read about caffeine doing harm are in such high doses that someone would have to drink 20 cups of coffee a day for their entire pregnancy to do harm.
