Victoria Beckham is no Luciano Pavarott, she’s a Spice Girl. And she’s not pretending to be anything else. That’s what I like about her.
"I have always said I am not the best singer out there, and I never was. But I am proof that if you make the best of what you have got and you do work hard and you are dedicated and have a vision and you are passionate, then you can do it."
Is she right? Is making it big as a singer all about working hard more than actually having a great voice?

Well, look at Madonna. She doesn’t have the greatest singing voice, but she’s one of the most sought after entertainers in the world. She knows it too, on both counts.
She married well, period. The Spice Girls were a flash in the pan.
I think a number of today’s singers can stand behind what Victoria just said. Without the magic done in studios to make them sound good, most of them fall flat when asked to sing live…and that is why they lip sync their way through ‘live’ concerts and tv shows. The individual Spice Girls were not hired so much for their great talents, but for the images they wanted each one to project.
well i think it’s just in general. if you try hard enough, you will achieve more in life.

I never understood why she gets such a ribbing, she’s never pretended to be anything but what she is, she has drive and vision. I have seen her in interviews and she comes across and down to earth and having a wicked sense of humor….. good on you Vic….
It is true what Victoria says we can all accomplish our dreams…BUT! she is also married the most popular, richest and hottest english football player, David Beckham. I think without him, she wouldn’t be as popular as she is now. And he has also admitted not to be the greatest player out there.

Some musicians are around to display their talent. Some are around to entertain. They both have their place. The Spice Girls most definitely were around simply to entertain – I don’t think *anybody* was claiming them to be the most vocally talented group around. But they had catchy music and know how to put on a good show. If they never tried to make it anything but what it is….. I don’t see why people would feel a need to rip that apart.
She might be a wonderful woman, but every pic I see of her she looks like a tight-assed bitch! She really should chill out and smile now and then!
