If you had tickets to one of the upcoming performances in the Aerosmith tour, I’m afraid you’ll need to accept a refund. Steven Tyler fell off the stage during a performance last week. He reportedly broke his left shoulder and needed 20 stitches in his head. Ouch!
Steven’s doctor advised him to take some time off to recuperate, so Aerosmith has cancelled the rest of their summer tour.
"Words can’t express the sadness I feel for having to cancel this
tour,” said Joe Perry in a statement. “In my estimation, it was one of
the best looking and best run tours we’ve ever had. Us road dawgs will
meet again."
Steven seems to be in good spirits, though, if his statement is any indication.
"I just want to say that I’m plain grateful that I didn’t break my neck," he said.
He also thanked emergency personnel for getting him help "before I bled to death." Hopefully Steven will have a swift and complete recovery!
