Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes spent the day by a lake with their daughter Suri Cruise in Melbourne, Australia this weekend. Katie is filming her new film ‘Don’t Be Afraid of the Dark’ and the family was having a well-earned break today before Tom flies out tomorrow.
It must be so hard to have to leave your wife and child so often. Tom has to tend to business – this is completely understandable – but wouldn’t it have been nice if he was able to take a few months off? It’s just not always that easy though right?

I was just thinking that Katie looks tired, too!.Maybe that’s how she always looks and she just doesn’t have any makeup on. Or she’s tired from filming. Anyway, I think it’s great that Tom and Katie travel to be together while the other is filming. I head that he gave the same advice to David Beckham (don’t be apart from your wife for too long, and don’t live separately). I’m sure he’s seen how that has destroyed marriages in Hollywood before, probably even his own with Nicole. I think it’s very smart.
