Kelly Osbourne Explains Why She’s Doing ‘Dancing With The Stars’

The new cast of ‘Dancing with the Stars’ was revealed this morning, and one contestant, Kelly Osbourne, is already talking about why she agreed to the show.

"I am so excited, but I cannot tell you how terrified I am," she said on Ryan Seacrest‘s KIIS-FM
radio show Monday. "Dancing is something that I’ve always really wanted
to be able to do, but never had the confidence and the technique, if
you know what I mean. I’m not very graceful, so it’s just something
that absolutely terrifies me, and it’s the main reason that I kind of
wanted to do it. I wanted to do something different. I wanted to do
something that scared me, and I don’t think anything could scare me
more."

I. Cannot. Imagine. competing in a dance competition that will be seen by millions of people. Fear doesn’t adequately described how scared I would be, so I have to give Kelly credit!

And one other thing Kelly is looking forward to:

"My body is going to get sick and be toned."

LOL! I’m sure it will :)

Not the most flattering picture. She looks like Doc Emmet Brown from Back to the Future. “One point twenty-one gigawatts!!!!!!”

  2. CereliaF says:

    Bah-hahahaha!! That’s effing hilarious.

  3. CereliaF says:

Shoot, I’d do it too regardless if I could dance or not. You get a ton of money and really good workout.

  4. DonnaJ says:

I would love to do it. I love to dance! :O)

  5. Wonder_Woman says:

LOL YOU should teach me, never learned how to dance, play football, wrestle, swim, but never dance.

  6. bgduckie_01 says:

well everyone will end up being in good shape by the time they get eliminated. thats a big plus for them all (besides the money haha).

  7. CapturingLife says:

They practice non-stop before the show actually is filmed, so it isn’t like she’d make a fool of herself on the air because she doesn’t know how to dance right this minute, kwim? She’ll have a ton of time before having to do it in front of the world.

  8. CapturingLife says:

I’ve never watched this show but I just noticed that Debi Mazar is going to be on it! I LOVE HER!!!

  9. Kelly says it all in her comment: she can’t dance, she’s terrified, she doesn’t have technique….Then why are you going on this show that will make a fool of yourself!? Take private dance lessons or something. This is bound to be entertaining.

  10. Manimal says:

    Money!

  11. DonnaJ says:

  12. sweet kiddo says:

  14. elaine123 says:

How much do you think they get paid?

  15. Manimal says:

From the wiki: “Celebrities make $200,000 per season, no matter how far they advance in the competition. The winner also gets a bonus of $100,000, the second-place team gets a bonus of $75,000 and third-place team gets a bonus of $50,000.”

  16. elaine123 says:

WOW, I didn’t realize they got paid so much!!
