Doctor Confirms Celine Dion Is Pregnant
Celine Dion got pregnant from an embryo frozen eight years ago.
The ‘Think Twice’ singer – who is expecting her second child with husband Rene Angelil – conceived the baby through in vitro fertilization (IVF), using a fertilized egg she had harvested when she was trying to conceive her first son Rene-Charles in 2001.
Celine decided to start trying for another baby in 2007 after she completed her residency in Las Vegas and consulted her physician Dr. Zev Rosenwaks.
He said:
"She came back to have the embryos transferred back because she wanted to have another baby."
Although Celine, 41, is still in the early stages of her pregnancy, Rosenwaks says she is doing very well.
He revealed:
"She is feeling well. So far, so good. I look forward to hearing the fetal heartbeat. Rene and Celine are both looking forward to a pregnancy that is a healthy one. There is no question she is ecstatic."

Vera, Celine Dion conceived in 2000, she had her son in January (February?) 2001. I remember because I was pregnant at the same time as her. Not that it matters, but anyway...
Dr. Rosenwaks is a pioneer in Reproductive Medicine. It is public knowledge that Celine Dion cycled at Cornell in NYC during her first pregnancy she thanked Dr. R in news articles at the time. Unlike other celebrities who deny using assisted reproduction Celine speaks about it freely. I am very happy for her and I hope her pregnancy goes well. I imagine it must be difficult to keep such news a secret if she is going in and out of a clinic.
You say this like it is a bad thing that some celebrities do not admit to assisted conception. I do not think that is fair, as everyone is entitled to some degree of privacy, and how anyone conceives their children is a very personal matter for them. If celebs choose not to make their fertility issues public then that is entirely up to them.

This information has been public knowledge since she had her first child. She has openly and publicly spoken about the frozen embryos for all these years and that she was going back to try for another child. There was really no big news to this story other than it had finally happened.
Can't help but wonder if the kid is going to be one of those people that's cold when it's 95-degrees outside.
she must have seriously *JUST* gotten a positive on the pregnancy tests! Its as if they announced her pregnancy the second the embryo's were implanted. Learning from experience, its better to wait a bit to make such a big announcement.

Celine has been so forthcoming she would have told the media if the "transfer" of the frozen embryo(s) had failed or resulted in miscarriage. This way she controls what information is released.
FYI my Frozen Embryo two year old has no such special sensitivities to cold or heat, very snarky.
