Sarah Michelle Gellar Takes Her Dog To The Vet

Sarah Michelle Gellar Takes Her Dog To The Vet

Sarah Michelle Gellar was spotted taking her dog to the vet in Los Angeles. Now, I bet that dog is as lovable as they come, giving big, wet kisses, but I bet the paparazzi won't take their chances and get too close :)

Has anyone heard any word on when Sarah is due? Knowing how cute Sarah and her husband, Freddie Prinze, Jr., are, you know this baby is going to be adorable. I can't wait to see her/him!

Yea... bc dogs are know to eat babies right? I cant understand why some pet owners get rid of their pets once a baby is introduced to the family...

Google the story about a family dog dragging a 3 day old baby from his home. Sure, it's probably a rare occurance, but it does happen. Now, who's ignorant?

There are also countless stories where family pets have protected their kids and their family so what's your point?

Sarah has said before that Tyson's gentle, loves kids and is a therapy dog for kids in hospitals, so if anything he's at least good with children. Akitas are also known for being protective of family/good family dogs though they can be unfriendly with strangers.

P.S. Also, who leaves a dog with a 4 day old baby? There's something a little fishy about that story considering the dog was supposedly able to get the baby from out of the crib (no clue how), without any screaming/crying from the baby, get out of the house (still trying to figure out how) without any screaming/crying still, and get into the backyard before either parent noticed. The parents were being a little negligent in some regard if they just left the baby with dog etc.

i love dogs. especially big ones. but you cant trust a dog, no matter how friendly it seems.
a family dog which was brought up well, attacked a 3 year old girl just as they were passing it in the street.
they can turn.
and some people are not willing to take the chance.
im not even saying its the dogs fault, im just saying that some dogs might not be used to babies and can get jelous, view them as toys or enemies.

and i had this lovable big dog but when a child ran up and clapped her hands at it, it thought that it should jump up on her (in a friendly way) but still, it could have ended disasterously, as he was double her size.

You. You can't leave 3day old baby alone without a monitor period. Without dogs. The dog is alive too. Getting rid of a creature that has loved you and been your family because of something that might happen but probably won't is simply evil. Lots of uncles molest their nieces. Does that mean I should kill my brother? No. Nor would I throw my beloved pet out of my home because some other dog attacked a child. Im quite sure that we will all live.

It looks like an Akita -- they make GREAT family dogs, but I think the paps are right in keeping their distance. They aren't known to be especially fond of strangers ;)

I have to agree with the Anon up there -- poor dog has been to the vet at least 2 times in a short period. Hopefully things are well :)

She takes Tyson to doggy acupuncture. He's pretty old so my guess is that he's probably got joint problems and the acupuncture helps relieve that, which is why she takes him often. Hopefully he's doing well.

I'm with you, Wonder Woman - my dogs are part of the family. They're not going anywhere! Dogs are highly trainable...they usually become very protective of babies and children.

Anyway, does anyone know what kind of dog that is? What a beauty!!

Might be an Akita, but looks like a Norwegian Elkhound to me. I have one and they're really not that big. Mine is a big baby.
and perfectly safe to be around children and babies. Very protective puppies!
