Milla Jovovich Married Paul W.S. Anderson This Weekend

Milla Jovovich married director Paul W.S. Anderson this weekend in Beverly Hills. The ceremony was rather intimiate consisting of just 50 guests. Milla opted for a mini wedding dress.

The bride, 33, wore a '60's-style mini dress she designed herself as she walked down the aisle in the backyard of the couple's Spanish-style house, decorated with red and white floral arrangements.

Have you ever been to a wedding where the bride wore a mini dress? I haven't known anyone that has.

The couple has been together for 7 years (they met on the set of Resident Evil) and share daughter Ever Gabo who was born in 2006.

Congrats!

She looks beautiful! I don't have any problems with shorter wedding dresses. It's her wedding, she should wear whatever makes her happy. It would be dumb to wear something she didn't want to wear just because that was what everyone else does.

Last week I delivered a talk titled "MySQL and Search at Craigslist" as part of the 2009 MySQL Conference and Expo. I talked about some of the good and bad of our MySQL work and also talked a lot about our recent Sphinx deployment. The slides are embedded below and here, thanks to SlideShare. (Anyone know why Google Docs doesn't yet handle OpenOffice presentations?) MySQL And Search At CraigslistView more presentations from jzawodn. I gave a copy to O'Reilly but...

I hate her hair. I know she could wear it any way she wants but it just does not look wedding-ly (as if that is even a word!)
