Rumer Willis Says Her Parents Have Nothing To Do With Her Acting Career
Rumer Willis doesn't owe her acting career to her famous parents.
The 21-year-old daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore admits the family name gets her auditions, but insists she wins parts because she is a great performer.
The budding actress – who stars in upcoming horror film 'Sorority Row' – told BANG Showbiz:
"You can't do anything about who your parents are. I think everyone has opportunities and everyone has doors that are open to them in different ways.
"If you're talented you'll get work. If you suck then you won't. In the end, talent is all that matters because you could go and get an audition, but if you go in there and you suck you're not going to get a job."
Well, at least she admits her last name gets her in the room! People have a hard time even getting that far in the process.
What do you think about what Rumer is saying? Is there some truth to her statement? Would the industry be kinder to Rumer if she met Hollywood's standards?

If she had talent, her quote would be believable.
I think she's right in some way...She would still get parts but not any good ones if she sucked...look at paris hilton and kim kardashian, they suck and they still get parts, even though the parts are a joke. However, even getting an audition is hard and not everyone has doors opened for them in one way or another, some people don't get any doors opened for them at all. Her name definately gets her recognition that non-famous starlets don't get.

Look at Bryce Dallas Howard. She may have got auditions initially because of who her dad is, but its her talent that's gotten her where she is in the industry. That's REAL talent.

It must be because Demi's a Scorpio that she gets away with what she does. Demi tries so hard to look younger than her daughter and narcissistically gets herself a young guy. Off course this has been a tremendous burden on Rumer. Rumer even commented on how confused she was when Demi brought Ashton home. Ew to Demi not Rumer. With Rumer, you can't control what your face looks like but with Demi you CAN control what you do that negatively affects your kids.

I wouldnt ever think to call her talented, no way. Look at the movies she HAS been in and watch her try to act. Even when she is just standing there it is unnatural.
