Glad to see her doing so much better now. After spending some time in the hospital, Mischa Barton is back on the scene. She explains her hiatus by saying,
"I went through a tough spot where everything compounded on me, and it
was like a perfect storm, like everything was happening to me at once."
Then she also had some medical problems that compounded things for her.
Mischa had a "terrible" wisdom tooth surgery – a procedure she says went wrong and is "still just healing."
"I
had to get through it without proper painkillers because I couldn’t
take those during work," she said of the procedure. "So it’s been a
nightmare."
Fortunately Mischa is doing much better now.
"I was down in the dumps about everything there for a while," she
reveals. "Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom about things and have
to get the most stressed out just to feel better again. I got
completely stressed out and couldn’t handle everything, and now I feel
really in control."
Still, she wishes that the incident could have happened in another city.
"The funny thing is, if all this happened in New York, no one would
care," she says. "New York lets you be who you are, and people aren’t
as judgmental. I’m so glad to be back here."
She is way out of shape to play a model, sorry but it’s true.
Who the hell dresses her???? she wears the most awful unflattering clothes
I am glad that’s feeling better but oh my God, she does need a stylist. With her legs she should not wear those shoes.
SHe looks awful and she is so uninteresting..why do people even photograph her? And those legs??
I feel sorry for her.I hope she feels OK and goes on what she is doing best,acting.

When I read it, I assumed she WAS in New York when she said that. That’s the only way it makes sense,
Some people have been so mean to her about her body, it’s quite nuts if you ask me. NO wonder she went through all of this. I think people like dher character so much on the OC that they became obsessed and hated the fact that she left the show. They’ve given her a horrible time ever since.

I’ve had a wisdom tooth problem go horribly, terribly wrong – it took more than 6 months to finally start healing and the painkillers were INTENSE. I imagine a person who is prepositioned to be addicted to meds would have a very hard time with it.. I’m very much not and still had an extremely hard time with it. Her story sounds very valid to me, and I hope her life gets back on track quickly.
Sure Mischa, you’re a hot mess because of a “tooth ache”. At least make an excuse that is halfway believable like a warlock came and hit you over the head with a rainbow.
