OK – I’m kidding. It’s not called The Mopranos – but COME ON HBO! A gangster series starring Steve Buscemi and produced by Terence Winter (yes, Terence from The Sopranos)?
Ahhhhh….Who am I kidding? I’m absolutely going to tune in.
The cable channel has just announced it has ordered 12 episodes of Martin Scorsese’s Boardwalk Empire.
Boardwalk Empire, set in the 1920s at the dawn of Prohibition, chronicles the life and times of Nucky Thompson (Buscemi), who was equal parts politician and gangster in Atlantic City.
Shooting begins this fall in Brooklyn. Series to go live in 2010.

Of course ! Buscemi is a genius and totally underrated . I would love to see him him get the airtime and the recgnition he deserves!!!

Hmm seems interesting, almost like a “road to perdition” thing. Steve Buscemi did direct some Sopranos eps (including the very popular “Pine Barrens” so this sounds like a cool pairing! Cant wait to see it!

I never watched the sopranos, so nope.
I’m confused, they have already been filming this. I took my kids to Sands Point Preserve in June and the crew was breaking down the set inside the mansion.
I think i’ll pass.
I thought Steve had dark brown hair? When I first saw his picture, I thought … who photoshopped the EFF out of Macauley Culkin?!? LOL.
Steve’s one of those great underrated actors you don’t see enough of.
