Rebecca De Mornay To Star In ‘Mother’s Day’

Rebecca De Mornay has signed on to play the title character in the remake of the 1980′s horror film ‘Mother’s Day.’ This role is not as much of a departure for Rebecca as you may think when you remember the great job she did as the evil nanny in ‘The Hand that Rocks the Cradle.’

"Every time you look at (Rebecca), she is on fire, and to take her
to this level, which is like her role in ‘Hand That Rocks the
Cradle’ times a thousand, is exciting," Bousman said. "She is not
some Freddy Krueger or Jason, so it was important for me to get a
real actress."

Mother, as De Mornay’s character is called, will go to any
length to protect her children."

Sounds pretty scary :) Are you looking forward to seeing Rebecca on the big screen?

havent seen the original one. i’ll have to see the preview first to see if it’ll be a real scary movie or just a “scary” movie (some scary movies aren’t really scary. i hate that!) :p

She looks good…nice to see someone her age in Hollywood that a plastic surgeon hasn’t sliced to smithereens. maybe she’s had a wee bit of botox or some dermatology stuff, but she looks gorgeous, natural, but well taken care of.
