George Clooney Goes Public With Elisabetta Canalis
It looks like George Clooney is going public with girlfriend Elisabetta Canalis. The couple arrived together in Venice yesterday for the Venice Film Festival. Although the pair may have only begun dating in the past few months, some are saying George has had his eye on Elisabetta for a long time: even while he was dating Sarah Larson.
Elisabetta (known in Italy as Eli or La Canalis) was filming a movie in 2006, and according to her costar, Alessandro Siani, a "mysterious car" would follow Elisabetta and Alessandro every day when they were done working.
"One day I finally decided to go over and confront the occupants of the car. I went over and to my surprise, who was sitting in the car? George Clooney!" [Alessandro] told an Italian magazine. "This isn't a new fling."
George and Elisabetta, who hosts the Italian version of MTV's 'Total Requests Live,' reportedly have been "inseparable" for the past three weeks. The couple have been very low-key, eating in at George's home in Como and either lounging by the pool or riding in George's boat, according to People.
George is at the Venice Film Festival for the premiere of his new film 'Men Who Stare at Goats.'
I think they make a good-looking couple, don't you?

so, i'm italian and I know elisabetta (not in person, of course).
first, she's not an MTV vj, she just host TRL for a couple of months this summer as a replacement for the other vj who was too pregnant to keep on working.
She doesn't have any particular talent... she does everything they offer her (acting, hosting, posing naked, whatever) so that people/news can talk about her. she's on the news about every summer for dating someone famous... footballers, movie directors, motorcycle racers.... she's just a "wannabe someone" and so I'm not surprised she's dating george now, he could help her "career" not only in Italy but also in the states...

She just looks so of, eh, you know? Nothing really super special - I wonder if she's got a really good personality, because if not, I don't see the draw. And while they may be fashionable, those shoes are *not* practical.
I cant figure out those shoes, they look really weird, is there mirror on the bottom??? Maybe it's just the angle. But those are definetly not the shoes to wear on a boat.
She's much cuter than he is. George's fame is "beautiful," the man himself is grossly overrated. Yuck!!!!!!!!!!!
He was amazing this night at the Venice festival... during the premiere the theatre had some problem so he started to sing "O sole mio" after and before the movie he was very kind and stopped signing some autographs... He turned back to sign my paper when he saw I was holding an old photo of ER...he was very kind...
She on the other hand was very quiete... she was behind him, letting him signs and had picture, and at the end she silently slipped into the car while he was making jokes with the fans... she has a wonderful dress, but when the film was accidentally stopped she was sitting in the chair not very politely... but she was very beautiful...
and him... he's like the wine... he's getting better with the ages!!
