Antonio Banderas Explains Why Melanie Griffith Returned To Rehab

Antonio Banderas apparently decided to take the straightforward approach to explaining why his wife, Melanie Griffith, checked herself into rehab. He said Melanie had been sober for six years, but when she injured her knee a year-and-a-half ago in a skiing accident, she had to have three operations. Melanie was prescribed narcotics for pain management.
"In March, she came to me and said, 'I'm feeling a little bit weak in my determination for this ... so I just thought to go to rehabilitation by myself,' " Banderas said. "So the whole entire family is supporting her, and I am supporting her, and at this particular time more than ever. I'm very proud of her."
Antonio said the entire family is also participating in treatment to help Melanie during this process. He has some advice for families who may be dealing with the issue of addiction.
'Don't get embarrassed, just confront this problem head-on. And don't hide from that because there is a beautiful gift at the end of this tunnel, and it is the person that you love back, and that is what I am searching for.' "
What a wonderful attitude! Hopefully Melanie's treatment will be successful. You can watch Antonio's entire interview on the 'Ellen DeGeneres Show' today.

O the narcissism of it all!! Meanwhile no one in their right mind would want to sleep with fish lips so he's got others on the side, while supporting Melanie wholeheartedly.

That was a positive comment, and it did not get spammed. I guess if my comment is a little negative, it is flagged!
Good for her and good for him. Addiction is an on going battle and the sooner families realize this the easier it will be for them to cope with it. Best of luck to her and her family.
