Jennifer Aniston admits that pretty much no matter what she does, people still view her as the “lonely girl.” She said one of her friends interviewed her for Elle magazine, yet the article was still “off base.”
“It’s just their headline of ‘Lonely Girl’ that’s sort of bulls**t,” Jen says. “I agreed to do it because how many times have I done an interview – every time – and you’re misquoted and stupid sound bites get taken out of context and all of that….still happened with this. It’s unavoidable. I’m not upset about it. I just find it funny.”
In the Elle article, Jen was quoted as saying:
“I’m not going to ignore the pink elephant in the living room. It’s fine. I can take it. If I’m the emblem for ‘this is what it looks like to be the lonely girl getting on with her life,’ so be it.”
Jennifer clarifies this in an interview on E!’s ‘Daily 10.’ You can watch a clip here. It’s good that Jennifer keeps an optimistic attitude, but it must get tiring to always be viewed as the “lonely girl.” Do you think she’ll ever escape it?

If you watch what she said she is not complaining about saying what she said just that they made the title of the article “Lonley Gir” Just like vogue made the cover of their magazine “What Angelina did was uncool”. She is saying that of the whole interview they take a little piece and make that the title or the cover and she dislikes that. I have to agree with her. The article from Elle was filled with a lot of stuff but the only thiong that anyone talked baout was the lonely girl. It must get tiring.

She got back what she give out it makes it onl fair. If she hate the title she needs to consider changing herself.

She’s set herself up as the heartbroken dumpee and constantly talks about dating and men and about how Mayer brought her so much emotional satisfaction. Puh-leeze. She invited people to speculate and ponder – to follow her escapades. Both her and her agent. And now that all her manipualtion is coming back to bite her in the butt she objects? Ginne a break. Phony through and through.

She has final approval of the interview, EVEN the title, so she knew EXACTLY what would be printed She probably read some of the not-so-nice-things bloggers were saying about her, so she decides to go on the defensive. No one should be surprised at this move, this is after all her MO. Never her fault.
I don’t think this has anything to do with the fact that her ex-husband left her. Is the simple fact that she hasn’t been able to have a long term relationship. Most people think they dump her when apparently she’s the one doing the dumping because of the lack of commitment from the other part. I guess she hasn’t had too much of a good luck finding someone that’s willing to commit and fulfill her needs. And of course as much as she might never admit it, is hard to go any higher after being with Brad Pitt. I guess everyone is going to constantly compared. Sucks for her!!!

I don’t understand Jennifer’s issue. She’s the one who talked about being the “lonely girl”. It doesn’t look like she’s misquoted or taken out of context. I think she just regrets saying it.
Maybe it’s because she’s been playing the “poor, poor pitiful me” PR game for 5 years and it’s stuck. Now she can’t understand why she’s labelled the “lonely girl”? She says things in interviews, then blames the magazines for taking her own words out of context “Vogue went all tabloid on me”. No, they just quoted her accurately. She knew what she was saying and how it would run, then tries to deny her own words. If she has to guts to say it, have the guts to stand by it and stop blaming every media outlet out there for printing (reporting) what you say.
