Mischa Barton Has A Rough Time On The View

We've already heard that Mischa Barton blamed her hospitalization on pain caused by complications from dental surgery. She repeated this explanation on 'The View' this morning, and the hosts apparently pressed her on that explanation.
Calling her hospitalization "silly," despite being "completely overwhelmed" by her situation, [Mischa], trying to deflect attention away from the subject, says on the program, "I mean, really, it was blown out of proportion, so it's kind of silly now to be talking about it because I'm so fine now, but it was really just a bad time for me," ABC News reports.
When Barbara Walters reportedly pointed out that the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center psychiatric ward "was not just any facility," Mischa repeated her explanation that she was suffering extreme pain after having her wisdom teeth removed.
Joy Behar then asked why Mischa had to be treated in the psychiatric unit if her problem was related to pain from dental surgery, and Mischa gave the following explanation:
"When they take you into the hospital for something when it goes really wrong if you're having a meltdown and you say something like 'I feel like I want to die' ... they start injecting you with things to calm down. Like I'm petrified of needles. Like absolutely petrified ... you can't come anywhere ... I had my blood drawn once in my life for my insurance."
Barton now insists all is well. "I just figure that if you hit rock bottom like that ... and you're around people, you know, you realize I'm nothing like these people," she says, before going into a fairly rambling recap of her experience.
"Anyway, I got really healthy since then," Barton adds.
I can't imagine having to discuss something so personal on national television! It sounds like Mischa was thrown off a little by the questioning. Yet she is working on her new show, 'The Beautiful Life,' so it looks like Mischa is doing better.

umm, HOW RUDE of them. I just lost respect for those ladies on the View. It's such a stupid show. It is not their job to be disrespectful like that. It's none of their business and they act like it is. Dumb bitches.

I agree it's none of their business, but if they stuck to their own business there wouldn't be any show! Hell, if everyone stuck to their own business, half of all the shows on TV would disappear.
Face it - either something a lot heavier actually happened, or Mischa has a truly lame definition of "rock bottom".
Hi test guy, how are you? fine I hope. Jim Morrison is not feeling well. He seems to be frozen in the same position for a couple of days now.................

What I like best is when I can see several dancing Jims at the same time. Syncopated Mojo Risin!

yeah, its none of their business. but i guess they wanted to be one of the first to ask.
IMHO, mischa needs to fire her publicist. The publicist should have made these questions off limits or prepared Mischa to answer them.

She should just tell them it's personal and it's solved by now and to mind their own business. Nosy people.

I think it's expected that they'd ask...this was a story that was in the press, obviously they're going to bring it up. I don't think it's necessarily wrong of them, and she should have been prepared to answer questions about it, even if her answer was "you know, it's over now, and I'm fine, and I'd rather not talk about it anymore."
I'd rather talk about how fabulous Mishca looks! That amazing gold jacket just goes to show that metallic and sequin are definitely back in full-force this fall. I just picked up this great sequin tank on sale at Goldyn, I've already started wearing it with high-waisted skirts. Check it out, what do you all think? http://tinyurl.com/lm52w5
I thought her main purpose to be on that show was to pimp "The Beautiful Life". But as it turns out, she spent about 90% of the time talking about her medical problem. I think that was designed to clear things up, and I think she did. The "hosts" were shocked that Mischa did most of the talking, because they usually do!
To Gina_S:
She looked amazing on the show! Here's a clip:

Ouch!
To clarinetkim:
She had a girl's voice until she started smoking.
The View hosts should have shown Mischa this video of her a few weeks before her meltdown and asked her about it.
