Dirty Dancing star Patrick Swayze has passed away from pancreatic cancer. The information is confirmed by his rep Annett Wolf.

“Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months.”

Patrick will be remembered for so many movies and lines. “Nobody puts Baby in a corner” is probably my favorite. What are some of yours?

Very sad, but knowing the statistics on pancreatic cancer, I was not hopeful. I just watched Dirty Dancing again over the weekend for the gazillionith time. It made me so sad to think that he would probably not be with “us” much longer. He always seemed like such a class act — he AND his wife. My heart goes out to her amd the rest of his loved ones. Thank you, Mr. Swayze, for so many hours of enjoyment. Oh geez… I just thought about him on SNL with Chris Farley! That was hysterical. He was truly a great. :o )
