And Kanye West is one of the most famous artists of the decade so I have no idea how you would not know who he is. I only have 2 Taylor Swift Songs but I have the complete Kanye West catalog.

Oooh, not quite the right time to pull out the race card, they know who Beyonce is, obviously know who Kanye is...they were making a point about how easily anyone can be forgotten, especially when they will not behave. What he did was a stunt, he wanted attention, probably he has never seen Taylor's video in order to compare. I have seen both and while I am a much bigger Beyonce fan, I feel that her video was a performance video and Taylor's told an entire fairy tale story. Too different to compare...
The song is about the state of NY and the three of them are all from the state, so I guess she was repping from where she's from...

I didn't watch it. I don't watch TV. This stuff bores me.
I do watch TV but didnt catch the awards, I think Pink's performance was extremely entertaining and I love Alicia Keys whom I think is super talented and truley gifted, she gives back through charity and hasnt allowed her fame to have a negative impact on her common sense. I think its so unfortunate that Kanye allowed alcohol to rule him and his actions during what should have been Taylor Swift's Moment in the Mega Spotlight- I only saw a bit of the video footage but she appeared hurt immediately after he returned the mic, I wonder what Beyonce really thought about what he did.... I wouldnt want that type of a shout out- it was just plain rude. My prayers are with all the artist, they face challenges and it cant be easy to have so much pressure on you all the time but they are fortunate to be doing what they love for a pretty good living. I think more of them should take that into consideration and realize we are not idiot fans who expect radical behavior sometimes adults just need to go back to simple rules they learned in kindergarten- which i may are may not have spelled corretly

music award shows seem like a circus now. gone are the decency and class. i don't watch music awards anymore.
VMA is supposed to be a fun show... the moon man is a good decor to say you are pop and at the top! it is expected to be a circus, over the top but all fun... i'm soooo loving MTV now that they were able to get Alicia Keys, Jay-Z, Janet, Pink, Beyonce on stage... please stop and think about that
I haven't watched the VMAs, or any music awards show really, in years since they are all just ridiculous. But I will say Beyonce killed that performance. She was hot!

Yeah, he asked what we think. Well I think he's an idiot for leaving Muse's performance off this list. No gimmicks, no props, no simply recreating their year old video. They just rocked the hell out of the place. Notice they ignored both rock bands. Green day flooding the stage with fans didn't impress you? Or do you just not like music with instruments? I guess if they lipsynched while covered in blood and wore metal plated gloves while hanging upside down they'd have caught your attention.

clearly those rock performance didn't stand out to him, but bashing the other amazing performances won't shed light on the rock ones. Get over it...the performers at the VMAs were amazing, and sorry that the bands you like had mundane performances. Maybe you should tell them to take notes from the real performers!

These are "music "awards but as stated earlier,bout only a few bands actually played instruments.How much hip hop rap can you listen to?I was embarassed for J-z,I just don't see where tiping your hat and ryhming adds up to talent?I think he is a super sharp business man and great at marketing.Beyonce' tore it up-she is flat out hard working and talented.I however was there for Green Day and Muse.Billie Joe is a great song writer,presence,and is reachable to the audiance.They were my absolute favorite with Muse.Muse is also multi-faceted and equipped to play different venues.Billie Joe was right-Mtv has gotten dominated by commercial talent and mostly hip hop.All in all,everyone who performed wouldn't have been there if they were not highly recognized by their peers and us.

I think every performance was FANTASTIC. I was going to skip past Pink and then I couldn't because it was so freakin' good. She's got mad skillz on the trapeze! LOL

Really, you think Pink was good? That's called lip syncing while you try to fool everyone into thinking you're talented by doing a circus act. Remember when singers actually sang live on award shows? Since his mother passed away Kanye West seems to be a different person. Before he seemed to have more class. Maybe this is a backlast from losing her too soon. How cruel people can be. although performances were great, i still sit and wonder what the HECK lady gaga was thinking. that was extra weird --- entertaining, yes --- but extra weird. but i guess i cant knock her too bad, she is making millions and i am not. touche!
Her performance was brilliant and stayed true to the lyrics of the song. At the end, she even made it clear that the paparazi holds celebrites as high as God. Kudos to her for having enough cajones to say it.
It is very clear that lady gaga didnt have a NORMAL childhood..the performance was amazing but shes one to stand out! Green Day was super awesome, I felt like I was at woodstock when they grabbed ppl onto the stage and Beyonce of course danced her ass off..Oh nd Taylor shouldve took that guitar out and beat the heck out of KANYE!

Pink was by far the best all these people are saying beyonce killed when in all actuality all she did was do the same dance in a similar outfit with the same old song that she has done(and many not famous people on youtube have done) time and time again while lady gaga scared me to death it still kept me riveted. The tribute to Michael was amazing he finally got the tribute he deserved.
Pink was lip syncing while trying to make up for the fact that she can't sing live by diverting your attention on the trapeze. If we wanted to see trapeze acts we would have gone to the circus Pink.
any one who has seen pink perform in concert knows she doesn't lip sync. most every one is saying she did that is just trying to play down the fact that she killed it. Besides even if she did lip since she still killed it muse actually rocked it to. Two best performances of the whole night in my opinion beyonce just basically did the same ole song and dance jay z was pretty good nothing extra and lil mama just threw me.

What a circus that show was. LOL Holy moly! The best thing was the MJ tribute and Beyonce. Glad Beyonce let Taylor Swift have her say and thanks finally.

The VMA'S Have always been about fun and madness.Kayne is a fool and needs a hug just classless.The Michael Jackson tribute was pretty good having Janet Jackson come out was great but don't forget BET also did him justice.Pink .Gaga,and all the others rocked the house.Russel Brand is a weird dude but he's got that english humor that pretty much goe's over are heads.All in all a pretty good show....

Lady gaga is amazing... she can sing, dance, and she is beautiful. What a talent... nothing is weird about her... it's theatrical( or however you say it) she is one of the few artists that actually makes you think... her music might be fun to listen to but there is DEEP...... meaning in all of her songs. I was in total shock about what she did. she is already setting a very high standard for her future... she was the first artist in years to have her debut song make it to # 1 on the charts and then followed up with another #1 song... she will be around for a very long time. proveing already that she is no one hit wonder.

I am in total and complete agreement with you, and before any idiots say anything about me being racist, I am not. I just do not appreciate any grown man who takes advantage of and humiliates a child on national television. I even liked some of his music before now, but somehow when I hate the person I can not listen to their music:)
