It sounds like Whitney Houston’s interview with Oprah Winfrey was truly a no-holds-barred one! Whitney described ex-husband Bobby Brown as “emotionally abusive” during their marriage. She said that one time, Bobby spit on her.
“[I] was horrified he spit on me, in my face” and that left her “very hurt, very angry.”
“[H]e slapped me once, but he got hit on the head three times by me.”
“He was my drug,” Whitney told Oprah. “I didn’t do anything without him.”
Whitney also said she was addicted to drugs, and it was her mother, Cissy Houston, who intervened.
[I]t got so bad that her mother enlisted sheriff’s deputies to force the singer into rehab. Mom Cissy Houston said, ‘I’m not losing you to the world. I’m not losing you to Satan. … I want my daughter back,’ ” Houston recalls.
Bobby was there at the time. “She said, ‘If you move, Bobby, they’re gonna take you down. Don’t you make one move,’ ” Houston tells Winfrey. “And he stood there like — he was scared.”
The entire interview airs on Oprah today. I have to admit, I’m incredibly curious about what she has to say. Are you?

Its an interesting story, but by no means unique to Whitney Houston!
i used to like her music, but i’m really not interested in hearing about her crackwhore days. going on oprah to talk about it? exploitation.
They were both lost in a world of drugs and strange sh!t happens when drugs are in the mix. I’m glad that she is recovering and I hope she and he can move on and be productive.

She ruined her life and a wonderful career with drugs… With that voice, she could have had it all
Whitney houston definitely went insane after marrying this bloke, drugs alcohol and more, and her career almost drifted apart! she was no doubt one of the most talent female artists of her time, her voice was so unique, shame she had to ruin it all because of an intolerant bloke like him.

Now that she claims to have cleaned herself up, she is making Bobby out to be the bad guy. She did as much sh!t as he did, no need to sell him out. Bobby is still in to drugs, he needs help too. I’m over Whitney, I’m not interested in her music anymore.
I don’t know if Whitney is going to get the “big comeback” that she is looking for, the support from her fans is there, I just hope her cd is as good as everyone hopes it will be.
