Sandra Bullock Will Never Let Someone Do Her Food Shopping

Sandra Bullock Will Never Let Someone Do Her Food Shopping

Sandra Bullock refuses to have anyone do her grocery shopping. The Hollywood actress wants to remain down to earth, and thinks buying her own food will stop her getting to caught up in the glamorous side of Hollywood.

"I like to do my own food shopping. I don't have a staff to go out and get shopping for me. Occasionally I will ask someone to go out and pick me up some wine if they are by the store - but I always buy my own stuff."

Sandra - who lives in Austin, Texas with husband Jesses James - says local residents help keep her grounded as they don't care if she's famous.

"I don't get hassled by people either when I go shopping. They are so over me here it's fantastic. They actually roll their eyes at me as if to say, 'Oh not her again.' "

I guess once you've seen the same celeb over and over again the excitement does tend to go away. Do you frequently bump into a celebrity where you live? Is it no longer exciting?

I live in Austin Tx and I would love to bump into her.

I used to live not too far from Phylicia and Ahmad Rashad (when they were married) and would see her at the grocery store now and then. Dressed down in sweats, no make-up , completely normal and she was so nice! No one bothered her either. Just another person who happens to have a job that makes her more recognizable (and rich). This was while she was filming the Cosby Show.

i met her once too, and I wish i met the person you got to meet. she was a total B. so, after reading your comment I'm not sure why she was so nasty the day I met her. she was showing her Diva fangs

Omg this is so funny...I'm such a freak when it comes to those things lol. I have a housekeeper that does pretty much most of the things around here and i always come over with her to do groceries. But that's the one thing i have to be there for haha. although she's not even my housekeeper but more like my life. Love you sarita!! Sandra is got to be the funniest woman. I would really love to meet her one day and just go out for drinks or something. She looks like shes so much fun and down to earth kindda chick.

Must be nice to have a housekeeper do everything for you! I assume you are not one the INO crowd who always comments on how entitled and selfish celebs are when they do the same

Is nice to have some kind of help. She's been in my family for over 10 years and when i got married to my husband she decided to come along to help. I can assure you that i'm far from being any of those things. And when people talk about their status i never judge. I just get very annoyed when they're being ungrateful of what they have.

Monica you gonna have to excuse me if i'm coming across as a bitch, but why must i get over myself?? and why must you misinterper most of what i say?? You seriously need to do some thinking before typing into your keyboard.

Just curious how you can afford a staff to take care of your everyday needs when you can't spell? Were you born with money or did you marry into it because with grammar and spelling skills like yours, I doubt you earned it.

Also, if you require a staff, what do you do all day?

Just saying.

I don't think that is any of your business. I also don't see how my spelling or grammar can affect my averyday needs. You seriously need to relax. It happens to the best of us. You should create a real account and have more interesting conversation with the INO regulars who happen to have a name, photo and don't have to remain anonymous to give an opinion. I appreciate your concern though, but i can assured you that i'll be just fine.

Anonymous Anonymous said:

Ah - married into it. Got it. I choose to not have an account because I have a life and do not spend hours a day on the internet. I looked at your profile. Who watches your child when you are sleeping in all day, renting a movie and ordering out? I'm most certainly not concerned about your well being, but when you think it's alright to have a staff (if you really do) to do everything for you, then I am concerned for your child. Nice example you've set. Way to be a hard worker and laying on your back doesn't count. And... I'm sure that if you really do have a staff - they raise your child for you as well. Not trying to come down on you so harsh, but I'm so tired of people like I just mentioned (Especially ignorant and uneducated ones. Spelling is not difficult). Be a responsible woman! Get educated, take care of your own! Don't rely on someone else to make you happy (or wealthy). There is a lot more to ge proud of that way.

It's alright Donna!!! I'm not going to keep myself from posting my comments simply because others might disagree with me. Everyone has the right to say what they please. That's what makes the world go around. I was wrong for being rude to monica. I should of known that there are better ways to approach someone other than being rude and nasty. I'm a tough girl though. I can take the punch ;) The anonymous post stalker is right to talk her smack....

Is a bit hypocritical that you are so upset about my respond to others yet you still here making all of you'r derogatory comments and what's worse pretending to know me so well. Is actually hilarious to read all your commets. I've notice that you're so determent about stablishing an argument with me. So, i'm letting you knock yourself out. Just don't worried so much about my life. You probably would have like it better if I were as hostile and angry as you…but I’m better than that. and if you (do have a life) than i don't see why you insist on coming back to read my comments?? what a sad existence you must have. this is a gossip site…it’s really not that serious. Lol!!! @ anonymous 03:15 pm

No hate here elaine. Are you guys related?? Cause this is getting a little wierd. Maybe i have the right to refer to whom i want with out having to answer or explain anything to a third person. If she wasn't responding to me that it would be nice to know that i misunderstood her comment, but perhaps from her.

No, we're not related. And, you've been on this site long enough to know that we all talk to each other and refer to others' comments. Just like you, I have a right to post my opinion on whatever I want on this site. In this case, I had an opinion on your comment to her...that I thought was a little over the top. That's all.

Oh my gosh, YAYI, I never said ANYTHING to you. My comment was in reply to the post, not to you. Are you really that self centred? When the heck did I tell you to get over youself? You are obviously one of those people who thinks everything is about them. Because you obviously think that other people's comments are all about you, right? You are ridiculous. I don't care if you have a house cleaner or not. I said nothing about that. Your stupidity and self-centredness has left me completely dumbfounded. CLEARLY, you are the one who needs to do the thinking before they type on the keyboard! Acutally now that you have brought it upon yourself, I will have to go and say get over yourself. And yes, why all the hate for me from nowhere??? You are crazy.

Wow, how horrible. I can't believe how nasty that anonymous poster was. Please remove that chip from your shoulder.
I'm currently studying and thus not yet in the position where a housekeeper is an option, but when that day comes I would have NO problems with it. Life is short, do you think being a martyr and spending your free time cleaning makes you a better person?
It doesn't, and for all your criticism of Moniques spelling and grammar, personally at the end of the day I would rather be a kind, good person, than one who has perfect spelling/grammar.

She just bought what I liked to call my "Powerball House" in New Orleans. If I win now, I guess I'll have to settle for the Benjamin Button house. I imagine that if she went shopping here, people might stop to thank her for what she has done for one of the local schools damaged by Katrina.

I live in Austin and one day I saw her (and Jesse) in my rear view mirror driving behind me!! I've never been so starstruck but had to hold it together since I was driving. They looked so genuinely happy together :)

I am so jealous! I probably would have gotten distracted by them and crashed into someone!

I'm born and raised in Santa Barbara, so I see famous people on a regular basis, also went to school with kids that have famous parents and it's true - I don't really get star struck and we've got some major players living here. When a famous person is out and about people that are "local" never bother them, it's just the tourist that swarm. Actually ran in to Paul Marshall at Chili's recently and had an interesting conversation about football. Although, if I saw someone like Dame Shirley MaClaine I'd prolly wet myself.... ;o}

isabella rossellini lives down the street from me, has all my life. it was especially funny watching her learn to drive in one of those driver's ed cars with the sign on top! that was only a few years back too! i will say that these days, she is showing her age, but is still a gorgeous down to earth person. francisco costa from calvin klein lives in my area too, cool guy as well. si newhouse and charlie rose too, right around the corner...dirty old men! ha! in the summer we see our fair share of celebs, but they aren't hounded and go themselves to the local IGA and deli just like everyone else.
