Matt Damon Likes Variety In His Character Choices

Director Steven Soderbergh has confirmed that Matt Damon is set to play the part of Liberace’s lover, Scott Thorsen, in the upcoming biopic! The movie will mainly focus on the time in Liberace’s life when Thorsen sued him for palimony, thus outing him. Thorsen was also a bodyguard and driver for Liberace.

Michael Douglas has snagged the role of Liberace himself!!! Wow!

Soderbergh said:

“We’ve already done some costume and wardrobe tests on Michael, and they’re very, very, very good.” Soderbergh added. “I swear to you, Michael amazed me. He crushed it.”

I love actors & actresses who take on roles that are completely different from their previous work. It gets boring to see them get stuck in a rut of “x” type of character.

Are you curious about the private life of Liberace?

I wouldn’t have thought I would be interested in Liberace’s personal details but my curiosity to see Michael Douglas pull it off makes it a sure thing that as soon as it is on Pay per View, I am all over it!
