Charlize Theron Had To Shoot Public Nude Scene In Secret

You know the paparazzi have become pervasive when a film is forced to shoot a scene in secret, without even putting it in the script, to keep them away! That's what direction Guillermo Arriaga had to do to shoot Charlize Theron's nude scene for 'The Burning Plain.'

"We had to shoot the scene at 6 a.m. before any of the photographers were up. It was done in such secrecy that it wasn't even in the script. Only three people, including myself, knew it was going to happen."

I wonder if the scene was that important to the film? I guess I'll have to watch it to find out. And you know the paparazzi would have been everywhere if they knew about that scene, so I don't think their fears were unreasonable.

I don't know how integral it is to the film, but the paps would have been on that like a swarm of bees. And then her naked body would have been all over the internet.

i agree with donna. if the paparazzi knew they were filming that scene, there would've of been so many pictures all over the internet and that's something she wouldnt want. so i think it was more to protect her than the actual scene.
