Russell Crowe was spotted leaving a coffee shop in Beverly Hills with friends yesterday afternoon. It’s been awhile since we’ve seen Russell out and about. Looks like he gained a bit of weight – perhaps for a new movie role.
In other news, Russell was recently seen out with his wife watching ‘A Streetcar Named Desire‘ in Sydney starring Cate Blanchettt. Russell recently co-starred with Cate in the new Robin Hood, which hits theaters next year. It’s nice to hear that they support one another off the set as well as on.

Crowe is a real man. And not a bully. Forgive him his past sins. He hasn’t had a lick of trouble since the phone throwing incident in 2005, for which he’s often expressed his shame.
He doesn’t look heavy to me, just his usual chunky, muscular self. He’s never been skinny, thank goodness.

He’s in the US now en route to Pittsburgh to shoot a new movie tentatively called “The Next Three Days” with Paul Haggis (director of “Crash”). Shooting will start in early October.
