Christina Aguilera paid a visit to malnourished children during a recent trip to Guatemala. The singer is a spokesperson for the World Hunger Relief campaign and was brought to tears when she saw how these young children were living.
“I wanted to see with my own eyes what hunger means. As a mom my heart just breaks when I see how young mothers struggle to feed their children. I don’t think I can ever forget these images. The people of WFP (World Food Program) do such a great job helping hungry children and mothers.”
Christina is happy to use her celebrity status to shed light on the issue. She also says there is a big take away she will hold onto from this trip.
“One of the biggest lessons I’m taking away from this trip is the importance of healthy food. If a child under two doesn’t get the nutrients they need, we can never fix the damage later on.”

I just added the site to my favorites.
She’s right about kids needing right nutrition. It’s especially important during those first few years of their life!
I do the free rice game a lot. Its a nice way to help without hurting your purse.
We play the free rice game sometimes, I’m going to have to play it again, now!
I love free rice! its funny ive never heard of anyone else knows about it.
I’m from the Dominican Republic and i always go back every christmas with mom brother and sisters to bring food and some toys to the kids of my hometown. I honestly wish i can do it a couple of times a year. we don’t need to give much. For me love and attention is better than any check or material stuff, but it sure helps bring a smile to their face. I love DR!!!!
its so awesome we can help out by just playing a simple game while at work. that’s good she’s doing that. i can imagine how heart breaking it must be to see those kids in that condition
Only just now discovered the rice game… great idea…
Good for her!
I haven’t played the rice game in a long time! I will bookmark it.
