Lily Allen Is NOT Quitting The Music Business....Yet

Her poor publicist! Just a short 24 hours after Lily Allen announced to the world that she was quitting music, her publicist released a statement saying that what Allen had said was taken out of the context.

"Lily is not retiring from music,” her spokesperson said. “She is still promoting her current album which is why she said she is not thinking about her next record right now."

This is great news for all the Lily fans out there! I have to admit that I was a bit sad when I read that this was going to be her last album. Although the statement doesn't promise another record......

Here are some photographs of Lily leaving BBC studios in London earlier today and running some errands in silver tights the day before.

THANK GOD...I swear I felt the earth stop rotating at this "annoucement"

The general sense of Self-Importance displayed by "celebrites" amazes me sometimes!

self importance? HUH? what...? Lily Allen uses her twitter page, to speak to her personal friends & members. The press uses it to twist her comments. That's exactly why she only leaves short comments and very rarely uses her My Space page. Unless she has something relevant to say. In this case it was illegal downloading, not that she was quitting the music business (stupid)

Things like recording contracts and obligations to the label most likely are behind her publicists announcement. The threat of a nasty long law suit must have been a real eye opener, especially when most artists usually end up owing the label money if their album isn't a million seller. And on that note--what is up with music these days? Most of it is bland, or techno robotic junk that is all studio and no talent. Where have all the rockers gone?

False statements are just for press.

Well the press (particularly British tabloids) Make up these stories, which causes Lily Allen to release a statement, or write on her twitter page, no, no, it's not true (or something to that effect) Then once again the tabloids write, oh she was just doing this for publicity. Right, o.k whatever, they lie she has nothing to do with that lie, & then they find a way blame her for saying something she never said. It's tabloid Bullsh*t
