The Beautiful Life Cancelled

WHAT?!!! I can’t believe this! The CW just announced that they are canceling The Beautiful Life just after two episodes! Unfortunately this means that Mischa Barton and the rest of the cast are out of a job. I was kind of hoping that this show would give Mischa’s career the boost that it needs but it looks like she’s going to have to go back to reading the scripts.

I guess if I had noticed some of the red flags from the beginning of production this wouldn’t have been a major surprise to me. Mischa was hospitalized in the beginning of production which put a halt on things while she recovered. And for the first episode 1.5 million viewers tuned in, but by the second episode which aired on Wednesday only 1 million viewers returned.

Did you watch The Beautiful Life? I was DVRing it and was giving it a chance. Oh well – thank goodness there are so many OTHER shows this season to obsess over.

I was very upset when I found out.
It wasn’t the best show, but I thought it was interesting enough.
I really like Mischa and I really hope she finds something else soon.

This is why a lot of people DON’T give new shows a chance, for fear they’ll be canceled after a few episodes. Why invest the time when the networks are likely to yank something quickly? Seinfeld didn’t pick up viewers for a couple of SEASONS.

Mischa actually looks pretty here…. don’t care about the show

Wow, it must have been sh!tty or what?? A brand new show that I’ve recently started watching is “Glee” (it’s on Fox). OMG, it is SO funny and so wonderful to watch, I’m super excited about it. Finally a good show that has substance! You should tune in if you get the chance. It’s on Wednesday nights at 9 PM.

Glee is the best show of the season in my opinion. I really love it. Cute and funny.

    I didn’t even know it came on… =X

  15. petitlardons says:

The funny thing is that in the first episod, one character says ” I only give you two weeks”.
    Ironic, isn’t it ?

  16. KodiakBear288 says:

I was watching the second episode last night and thought that it was probably going to be the last episode I watched. It wasn’t interesting at all and I’m not surprised it got canceled. Oh well, I have a ton of other new shows to keep my occupied.

There have been other shows that were cancelled after two episodes, and I do believe there were a couple that were done after one. It must be a real stinker of a show if the CW is pulling it this soon.

  18. randinotobsessed says:

i really can’t believe it would be canceled. after only 2 eps!

  19. papyrus says:

good, i never tuned in. enough w/mediocre crap

  20. CapturingLife says:

While I wasn’t planning to watch, I think that only 2 episodes was not giving this show a fair chance. :(
