Robert Pattinson Is Upset About Lack Of Quality Work

Robert Pattinson is "annoyed" by the parts he is offered. The 23-year-old star – who shot to fame playing vampire Edward Cullen in 'Twilight' - claims he is rarely given roles which test his acting abilities.

“Annoyingly, there are so few parts I feel I can add anything to, or that I want to do. Acting is the hardest thing I've ever done in my life. I don’t want to be an actor for the sake of it. I don’t find any particular pleasure in being an attention-seeker."

Robert admits he is intimidated by his newfound fame, insisting he thought the film adaptation of Stephanie Meyer's vampire drama would be "something really small".

He added to AnOther Man magazine:

"It’s strange because even though the figures show that the books were successful and sold millions of copies, you couldn’t even buy them in London. Hardly anyone I knew had read them.

"I had no idea at all. I’d seen my co-star Kristen Stewart in 'Into the Wild' and some of the director Catherine Hardwicke’s other films, and that’s all I thought it was, something really small.”

Yeah - that pretty much sums up what happened right? LOL! Hopefully, Rob will get a part that he feels he can contribute to.

Sorry lovely one, but you are the major reason for the phenomenal success.

Sure, because the vampire is such a heavy, profound and life-changing role for anything besides his bank account and zillions of teens.

I think you're misreading his quote; knowing how humble he is my guess is that what he meant was he doesn't think he can add anything because of his abilities/qualities as an actor. It doesn't say ANYTHING about the quality of scripts he's getting--not a thing. It's that kind of crummy headline that puts bad words in people's mouths.

i guess if actors do so well in a character for a while, they kind of get stuck as that character for a while (in the fans' eyes). the harry potter guy will always be harry potter. Chandler from friends will always be chandler. that sucks to get stuck in that character.

Its because they can't write good movies like they used to.
