Sneak Peek: Nightmare On Elm Street Remake

Here's a look at the trailer for the new A Nightmare on Elm Street remake. The movie is going to star Jackie Earle Haley (Little Children, Watchmen) as Freddie Kruger, taking over the reigns from Robert Englund. Also featured are Kellan Lutz (Twilight series, 90210) and Katie Cassidy, one of the stars of the new Melrose Place.

The movie comes out April 30, 2010.

Are you a fan of the "Nightmare" movies? Does the remake pique your interest? I have to admit - I AM A DIE HARD FAN OF THE ORIGINAL. So, this annoys me a bit...

I'm excited for this movie. Love horror movies, they're my fav. The remakes are getting kind of old, though. It'd be nice to have a major horror movie come out that was of some original thought and idea.

I am annoyed that they'd even think about touching the classic horror movies. A Nightmare on Elm Street was the very first horror move I ever saw as a kid. With that said, they did at least follow the original, which surprises me, cause remakes never follow the original movie, but it just doesnt grab me. It's not that great and Freddie, ha, he's laughable. The make up artist knows abosolutely nothing about how Freddie is suppose to look. Freddie is the freaking boogie monster and should be as scary as possible. This Freddie is a weak immatation! Hell, it DON'T compare at all! Will it make money, sure, but I hope it doesn't do jack!

Vera, how could you forget Kyle Gallner? He's one of the main stars (at least it looks that way in the trailer). He's a great actor and super hot to boot. ;)

I like Jackie Earle Haley for Freddie, actually. I can see that. I'm not sure about a remake in general, though. I don't understand why they're redoing it with some of the same victims. It's hard to beat the first one though... I fell hard for Johnny Depp and screamed & cried when he was sucked into his waterbed!
