Did Kanye's Antics Kill Lady Gaga's U.S. Tour?
This afternoon an announcement was made by Live Nation that Lady Gaga & Kanye West's "Fame Kills" tour was cancelled! The concerts were set to kick off on November 10th.
Although no reason was formally given for the sudden cancellation, rumors were spinning that Kanye's "incident" at the MTV VMA's may have something to do with it. Refunds are being given to ticket holders.
It's really a shame because I'm sure Lady Gaga & Kanye had both put a lot of hard work into preparing for the shows. I would be devastated!
She had described a bit of the show to radio stations in Las Vegas & San Diego:
"The stage is called a traverse," she said. "It's something that we designed together. Instead of being on just one end of the arena, the stage traverses the entire arena. It's not really in-the-round; it's more of a runway. ... [It extends] from one end to the other so the audience can see everywhere from 360, but it's like a rectangular runway shape.
"We're on each end of the stage, and I want to get to where Kanye is, which is 'the fame,' " she continued. "He wants to get where I am, which is home and humble beginnings. For the whole show, we are battling each other [for their positions]. It's been a really incredible creative experience.

That sounds like a really, really lame show. I don't want to see interpretive dance at a concert; I want to see singing, dancing, maybe an explosion or two, but not a stupid "traverse" or whatever the eff she's talking about.

Good for him, he deserves it. The buzz around is that while ticket sales were a reason for the tour being pulled, Gaga's & Kanye's teams were at one another's throats during production. Not good when you're about to tour.
